Honestly, I think we found each other when we both really needed each other. I’d tried Tinder in the past, but it didn’t amount to much. I was at a point in my life where I really needed a change, so I thought why not give it another shot?

I’m pretty sure it was within the first couple days of being on there that I met Connor. I really wish I could remember what cheesy pickup line he probably used on me! I was so sad when I found out he lived an hour and a half away though. And his words were somewhere along the lines of “It just wouldn’t be feasible for us to date.” But we never stopped talking.

After two months, I finally made the drive up to meet him in person and spent the whole weekend. My coworkers had me share my location with them just in case he was a serial killer. (And I probably should have been a little concerned when he had me watch the first few SAW movies that weekend!) I just felt so comfortable around him, which is huge for an awkward introvert like me. On our first date, the waitress told Connor that she could tell it was our first because we were being so awkward. I thought things were going so good though and not awkward at all!

We took turns visiting each other on weekends, and whether Connor thought it was feasible or not, we started dating. Us being together just seemed so right, but obviously long distance was only going to last so long. Six months after meeting Connor, I took a huge step out of my comfort zone and made a move to the Quad Cities. One of the best decisions I’ve ever made!

Ten months later, we moved in together. And a little over a year after that, he asked me to spend forever with him as his wife. (Easiest yes ever!!) Even though it doesn’t seem possible to love someone any more than you already do, I fall a little bit more in love with him every day. I really can’t wait to see what our future holds for us. (Hopefully babies soon!!)
