Kimbrell and I first saw each other at The Chimes Retreat, a Christian retreat for freshman going to Alabama, in July of 2020. I saw her and she did not leave my mind from there on. While we didn't talk then, we saw each other frequently as we spent time with some mutual friends throughout the fall semester. The first time we hung out together, Kimbrell beat me at NCAA Football 14, something that hasn't happened since might I add. I was even more enthralled nonetheless. As we entered into the spring, we were both single again and started to see each other some more. I knew I just had to ask Kimbrell out on a date to spend more time with her. On April 28th, 2021, we went on our first date to get ice cream and walk around the Walk of Champions in front of Bryant Denny Stadium. Kimbrell said yes to being my girlfriend on that day. In the nearly three years that have followed, we've spent joyous time exploring new cities, cheering on the Tide, and growing closer to each other and to the Lord. On September 22nd, 2023, Kimbrell said yes to marrying me when I proposed on the roof of our church, First Baptist Church of Tuscaloosa downtown. And on June 15th, 2024, we will become one soul and begin our new lives together. God has been so faithful in our relationship and we know that He will continue to do so throughout our whole life.
