We met while both attending the University of Florida. Alex was the co-captain of an ultimate Frisbee team, the Jackie Chanchillas! Kimmy decided to join this frisbee team albeit not knowing anyone on the team beforehand... Well turns out it was the best decision because we had a lot in common and instantly became friends. Four months later, we started dating.

On our 6th year dating anniversary, Alex took Kimmy out to a fancy restaurant in Ann Arbor. After dinner Alex asked the waiter if he would take a picture of the two of us. The waiter took a few photos and was about to hand the phone back when Alex asked him to take one more... He held the ring box above Kimmy's head so that the waiter could see what he was about to do. (Meanwhile Kimmy was clueless). Alex then dropped to one knee and asked Kimmy to marry him. She said yes yes yes! And the surprise on her face says it all!

Alex and Kimmy are currently living in Ann Arbor, Michigan, both are in grad school at the University of Michigan finishing up their Ph.D. programs. Alex is in Nuclear Engineering and Kimmy is in Electrical Engineering. They enjoy spending their free time with their two dogs, Mango and Luffy.
