The Proposal

Picture of The Proposal

It was May 10th, I had been asking for what felt like weeks (and probably was weeks) to go get flowers to plant outside in our porch pots and in the hanging baskets. Cole had been brushing me off and kept saying it was way too early to get them, or we would go "soon" and finally I had had enough. I was going to get these flowers today with or without him. I remember coming home from work in my scrubs and asking if we could go get flowers that night, Cole once again basically told me no not tonight. I was very upset and irritated because I had been waiting for what seemed like forever. So, I told him I was going by myself then and I didn't care I was going that day (so I thought) I had also been waiting to take a picture by our tree's that we planted last year (2021- every year on our anniversary we buy a tree/tree's well the first year together we forgot to take a picture by the two that we planted). So, he told me to change so we could go out and get our picture and then we could go. (Keep in mind I still was very frustrated he did not want to go get flowers right this second) I threw on a pair of shorts, a t-shirt, crocs and threw my hair on top of my head and out the door we went. We headed to the front yard (where he originally planned to ask the question) propped my phone up for these pictures set a timer and took them . While in the middle of taking pictures his Dad came up to us and asked us to go back to the pasture to help with the goats. So we ran back there for literally an hour to help. As we were coming back up to the house Cole had mentioned taking a picture by this beautiful white the mulberry bush because it only flowers once and it was at its peak. So, once again he was going to prop the phone up and "take a picture" well..Kody just happened to show up right at the right time so Cole ran up to his tuck quickly told him " it's happening now" and that we needed help taking a picture. That's when Cole ran back to the tree where I was standing stood next to me and nonchalantly reached into his pocket without me noticing kissed me on the cheek and got down on one knee and popped the question.
