Jonathan-I first noticed her in the beginning of August when Ethan Burns invited me to church and we were going to play volleyball after church. It wasn't long after we gave each other a hard time at volleyball and we had a blast together, but I didn't start to consider courting her until after mid November.I continued to keep my eye on her until the Valentines Banquet, after that night I knew I had to get to know her better. The next day I contracted chicken pox and I didn't see her for the next few weeks. I would of asked her dad for permission a lot sooner if I had known her father had attended the Sunday night service, after I had discovered this great news it wasn't more than a couple days before I talked to him about obtaining his permission to court her. He did say yes on May the 4th, and I had not realized we had not actually had a real conversation until May 7th at Immanuel Baptist on a Wednesday night service.We did not take a long time getting to know each other there after, we spent time everyday either hanging out together in person or messaging each other every day, we grew very close in a short time.It wasn't long after I knew I wanted to marry her because of our shared values for the God, church, and family. I proposed to her on July 22nd of 2025, and she said yes! Kindred-I didn't know Jonathan at all, but there was this one evening at Immanuel where I attend church that I had seen him walk in and he was there up at the front talking with our mutual friend Ethan, and didn't give a whole lot of thought to it, just a handsome young man in my opinion there at the church. Of course the thought that goes through single young ladies minds, "well, I wonder if he's single..."!Not a whole lot happened then. Well, then he was coming to the church Sunday evenings and once in a while on Wednesday evenings. He then was invited to come play volleyball with us there at the church and of course I was there playing too, wasn't long before he called me out on judging him on his play! From there, it became a regular thing of teasing/messing with each other.I was definitely interested in him, but thought that it was just me since we never had a "real" conversation. It was to the point where if he asked to talk with me that I'd be glad to, well he never asked so I went on with life!Fast forward to the week of missions conference at my church at the end of April, a friend from church informed my dad that a young man wanted to talk to him (my dad) about one of his daughters. We got out to the truck and dad mentioned to my family and I that he needed prayer because a young man wanted to talk to him about one of his daughters, well, eventually I started putting it together that it was Jonathan, at this point it was Monday evening, so they wanted to talk Tuesday evening. Tuesday evening, my dad wasn't able to make it but Jonathan came anyways. I saw him there, but did not talk with him at all that evening! My dad and Jonathan then set up a phone call for later that week which so happened to be Thursday evening and they talked on the phone for who knows how long. Jonathan asked for my number and dad told him that he'd pray about it for a couple days. Three days later we gave my number to him and from there we've talked non stop!!It has been a wonderful time of getting to know him and spending time together everyday either on the phone, messaging, or in person! I've loved every step of the way. Looking forward to spending the rest of my life with the one I love!
