Our Story

THE LORE...

Danny's Perspective: I first met Kinsale at a concert, but I had been trying to actually get a conversation with her for a while. It was only a short "how was your summer?" but I came away feeling like I had touched a live wire, and I knew I needed to get another chance to talk to her. With the help of our mutual friend Riley Lassiter, I just so happened to show up at the library whenever Kinsale would be there, where I would sit myself down and stick around for as long as I could justify.

A week or two later, she pulled the exact same move on me and showed up where I was studying. After we talked for a while we finally exchanged phone numbers, and I began racking my brain for any possible excuse to text her. A short while later, I randomly asked her if she wanted to get a McFlurry, which ended up being the best McDonalds run I have ever made (even though I didn't even get anything from them that night)!

Dating Kinsale has been two and a half years of basking in the warmth of the kindest, funniest, most brilliant woman to walk the earth. I have shared more riveting conversations and harder laughs with her than anyone else I have ever met.

Kinsale's Perspective: The first time I met Danny Pearson was at the 2021 Honors Program Crawfish Boil, where he sat across the table from me and pulled a crawfish from his bowl and danced it around the table.

The following fall, my friend Riley Lassiter kept meeting me in the library for girl chats. Danny quickly became a part of that, and I was charmed. He was unique, original, funny, and kind and I thought that he had a really cool way of walking.

At the time, my roommates and I had a "Crush of the Week" chart, where we would write the names of the people who we were crushing on that week. We kept this chart going for about three weeks, and Danny Pearson took up all three of my weeks.

One night, I got a text from Danny that said, "Do you like mcflurries?" Naturally, the McDonalds ice cream machine was broken and we ended up going to Wawa, but the rest is history! The past 2.5 years have been filled with fun and laughs and so many pranks, and I would not want it any other way. I am so excited to marry him.
