Our Wedding

Our story is a little unorthodox from everyone else's story but that's what makes ours so original... Orey and I started hanging out just as friends after Hurricane Harvey (2017). He was on military leave helping his family after getting flooded. Hogs were tearing up his parents back yard. I have never shot a high caliber rifle before nor have I ever killed a hog. We spent hours shooting at targets and getting me comfortable using his gun. Every single night we waited for hogs to come out and just had a good time getting to know each other more in the process. One night, it got a little chilly outside and I got cold so he ended up wrapping his jacket around me while sitting on the tailgate of his truck. Shortly after that, he kissed me for the first time. Little did I know, I was hooked during that moment but was afraid to admit it. During the time we spent together while he was home, he told me he had developed feelings for me. And even though I started have feelings too, I was scared of a long distance relationship. He was living in Missouri at Fort Leonard Wood and I was living in Port Arthur, TX. Fast forward a little time, I wanted to pick up the phone and call him but his phone number wasn't working. So I then snap chatted him asking if he changed his number. Little did I know, he was deployed and had to have a phone number from over seas at the time. We talked every day since then. Orey came back to the states in November 2018 and then came home to SETX for military leave which was around 3 weeks for Christmas/New Years time frame. When he came back to SETX, I hung out with him as much as I could while he was home and when I wasn't working. Our first date was a New Years Eve party in 2018 and we decided together to make it official in January 2019. Best thing we ever did. Fast forward, New Years 2025 (6 years after our first date), Orey proposed during the grand finale of the fireworks show that him and his friends put together. I have dreamed about this moment since I was a little girl. We have a 4 year old daughter (Baylee) together and Orey's oldest daughter (Kira) will be 15 this year. I love our little family so much.
