In February of 2015, Kinslee thought she was headed into a typical night-shift in the ER. Little did she know, this night would mark the beginning of an impressive love story. As Kinslee went about her shift, she overheard the festival type music Dr. Truax was listening to which immediately caught her attention (let’s be honest – his good looks had already caught her attention, but his taste in music piqued her curiosity). Shortly thereafter, she overheard him discussing with a colleague about working in the medical tent at burning man. This was the kind of music Kinslee loved and Burning man was a place she had been, but never had the opportunity to work. Now she was really curious. She approached him, and asked for his number so she could “get more information about working burning man.” Greg willingly jotted down his info and the two went on with their shifts.

A few days later, Kinslee texted Greg about working burning man and he replied with the details. A few more days passed, now just a few days shy of St Patrick’s day, Kinslee decided she was going to text Greg again, this time inviting him for a green beer….he said yes! Unknowingly, this was the first of many dates (and green beers)!

The early years of their relationship were very private, as staff was not supposed to date within the company. Think of it as a long run of dramatic Greys Anatomy episodes. Co-workers would constantly tell Kinslee, “ You and Dr. Truax would make a really cute couple,” little did they know the two were already dating! Eventually the news came out and everyone was extremely supportive and encouraging.

Here we are, five and a half years later - 20 countries, unforgettable festivals, ski/snowboard trips, lake and boat days, 4-wheeling adventures, surf camps, Seahawk games, hockey fans, safaris, pilates and yoga lovers, endless inside jokes, an airport engagement, and a million once in a lifetimes! Kinslee and Greg are constantly seeking the next thrill, the next adventure, and the undiscovered – together.

These two have a love for each other that is unlike anything else. It is contagious, alluring, and will make you smile! Anyone that has the pleasure of being around them will undoubtedly be excited for them to marry!

Despite having to postpone our wedding twice, we look forward to FINALLY spending our special day with all of you! Thank you for sticking with us, supporting us and we cant wait to celebrate!
