Madison and Kipp met over a game of Dungeons & Dragons in the first year of medical school. While it was not love at first sight, the two found a strong connection as they navigated difficult exams and found good company among friends during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was reliability during difficult times that laid the bedrock of their trust and understanding in each other.

During the second year of medical school, they found a special bond in how they could always rely on each other: Kipp dutifully emptying the dishwasher or rolling down the trash bins, and Madison cleverly finding good travel deals online or teaching Kipp what quality wine tastes like. Together, they found themselves growing into their roles both as future physicians and future partners. Their shared love for music, New England, and chess were among the many bonds that helped forge their love even stronger.

Their proposal was a magical experience. With much help from Madison's best friend Quinn, Kipp knelt on one knee in the Gardens of Luxembourg in Paris, France on November 29th, 2022. Surrounded by gentle ducks on a calm overcast day, Kipp asked the question, and Madison answered with a resounding yes! Celebrating over champagne, Kipp and Madison's companionship blossomed even more than either thought possible, a testament to how their combined love and devotion measure far more than the sum of their parts.

Today, they are united in pursuing their residency training after medical school: Madison in Internal Medicine, and Kipp in Pediatrics. They graduate from the Frank H. Netter, MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University in May of 2024, just two weeks before their wedding day! They are grateful for all of the support they have received from their families, friends, mentors, and neighbors.
