In December of 2021, Kira and a friend of hers from college decided to seek out a bible study to join. Hoping to meet some new friends, they went to Google to inquire after a small group with two criteria: it had to meet on a Tuesday night and had to accept anyone. Come January, they showed up at a random house in Powell and joined a group through Rock City. Not long after, Kira met Ankith on one of those Tuesday nights. They got to talking, sharing bits and pieces of their lives, and they stumbled upon something unexpected -- they had both been baptized by the same guy. For Ankith, he was a childhood soccer coach. For Kira, he was her childhood pastor.

That connection sparked something deeper, and over the next few months, they found themselves serving side by side at the Dream Center. Their friendship grew as they commuted to and from the Short North together, talking, laughing, and praying together. Then, one day, Ankith asked Kira out to dinner and that dinner quickly became a date. Just two months later, during a trip to Hocking Hills, he asked her to be his girlfriend.

Fast forward to 6/28/2024 in the middle of the Park of Roses, surrounded by good friends and summertime blooms, Ankith got down on one knee and asked Kira to spend forever with him. She said yes! Now, they're planning to celebrate their love by getting married exactly one year after their engagement. They are incredibly grateful to God for answering their prayers and allowing them to find each other at just the right time.
