Josh and Kira met at the end of January, 2023 on a Christian dating app. After a few short days of messaging back and forth, they decided to meet in Rochester as a halfway point between Waseca and Winona. What they intended to be a quick lunch date at the mall, turned into a nine hour endeavor involving two meals, coffee, walking, and a lot of good conversation.

Eight months later, on September 23, 2023, Josh and Kira got engaged in Winona. When he suggested a hike up to Sugarloaf, Kira protested the idea with the fear that her new, white shoes would become caked in mud from the wet trails. It took some convincing, but she was eventually persuaded to make the hike. It was a good thing she did, because at the top of the hill, Josh proposed. With tears in her eyes, she accepted - overwhelmed with joy and surprise. The two of them are so thankful that God brought them together, and can't wait to see what the future holds!
