Our story really starts back when we were just babies - Both of our families attended the same church and were active members, so we spent a lot of time together without ever knowing it. From Sundays in the nursery, to week days and weekends at Royal Rangers events, our families were connected before we ever knew it.

Fast forward a few years to elementary school and we both attended Alexander Doniphan Elementary. Somehow we never managed to share a class, but there is no doubt I knew who he was. My best friend and his best friend lived right next door, so we were always around each other. Funnily enough, Jess must have done something that annoyed 8 year old Kiran because there is a copy of a year book where his face has been doodled on. Apparently, it was very important that little Kiran remind grown up Kiran that Jess was someone to keep an eye on.

Jesse and I began dating in 2019, shortly after our senior year of high school. I will always remember how one day we were trying to figure out if we ever shared a class together. Despite initially thinking we did not, it turns out we actually did share one class together our freshman year. It's crazy how two people can be in the same schools and live so close together, yet never truly get to know each other until later in life.

Fast forward again, to 2023 - after four years of dating and working to strengthen our relationship with each other and with the Lord, Jesse proposes at our favorite date night spot, a walking trail on the Parkville riverfront. We may not be crazy adventurous people, but we do love to walk and enjoy the beauty that is the natural world.

This brings us to today, where we are eagerly awaiting the day we will all come together to celebrate our marriage. Although we may not have known what was to come when we were children, the Lord truly had a hand in our lives by bringing us together after 23 years.
