Our Wedding

Our story begins our senior year at the University of Missouri...Jon and I both resided in the same apartment complex (The Manor) and one typical Mizzou weekend night I ran into my tall and handsome neighbor and group of his friends at Harpos. Prior to this encounter both Jon and I had engaged in nothing more than “small talk” though we lived just doors apart. With the help of some liquid courage Jon’s group of buddy’s and our mutual apartment neighbors formally introduced me to this boy who had caught my eye several months prior. That evening we exchanged phone numbers and the rest is history!

How We Met

Christmas Eve 2016 is a day neither one of us will ever forget! Each year Jon's family has the tradition of eating a large seafood dinner on Christmas Eve and this was the first year I could finally take part in that tradition because I was finally off night shift! That morning we woke up and Jon's mother asked if I would help her go pick up their seafood order at the grocery store and run a few other errands. While we were gone Jon and his father&nbsp;worked quickly&nbsp;clearing a path through the woods in the backyard of his childhood home. When Candace and I arrived she asked if I would help her bring in Jon's Christmas gift,&nbsp;which she informed me was&nbsp;a deer stand&nbsp;hiding in the woods behind their house already assembled. Not thinking much of it, I eagerly accepted and we began walking through the woods. As we approached the&nbsp;outdoor classroom that is behind their house, I noticed pieces of paper hanging from the trees and thought the school children had created some sort of Christmas craft. However, once prompted by Candace to read the hanging papers, I realized they were for me. As I walked through the path, pictures of Jon and myself along with a sweet message were&nbsp;strung from the trees&nbsp;through the&nbsp;long path. At the end, there was Jonathan surrounded by candles and trees&nbsp;and down on one knee.

We have reserved a room block for our wedding guests. Please note, this is a very busy tourist time for the Branson area so reserve your room as soon as possible. Mention the DUNHAM CONNELL WEDDING when making reservations by phone. If reserving rooms online use DCWED as your group code.

We will have an ongoing&nbsp;shuttle escorting guests to and&nbsp;from the Branson Landing to Sycamore Creek Family Ranch. The shuttle will run during the entire evening for your safety and convince. There is on-site parking at The Ranch but no over-night parking. The shuttle will be available prior to the ceremony to ensure all of our guests arrive on time!
