Our Wedding

Boe and Kirsten’s story started over six years ago. The rest depends on which story you’ve heard 🤪 From the start, Kirsten’s closest friends and family knew the real story. On the other hand, Boe’s friends and family thought it all started at Troeg’s (don’t worry, they were finally told after proposal happened). Let’s start from the beginning. On April 21st of 2018, they both swiped right. Yes, that means they actually met online. Just two weeks later, Boe and Kirsten decided to meet up for dinner. When deciding on a place to eat, Boe asked what Kirsten’s favorite restaurants were and she responded with Olive Garden or Texas Roadhouse. Well come to find out it was pointless to ask because Boe decides on Red Robin, his favorite and he just happened to have a gift card lol. They hit it off so well at dinner that they decided to go to Troeg’s for drinks (Troeg’s is PART of the true story, just not how we actually met🤪) About a month and a half of many more wonderful dates and time spent getting to know each other, on June 15th Boe asked Kirsten “my friends have been asking about you, is it okay if I call you my girlfriend?” To which she happily replied yes. In beginning years of dating the couple faced a few obstacles. Having to drive 40 minutes to see each other, Kirsten learning that Boe is unavailable during hunting season, and Kirsten’s dad getting sick and passing away. He is truly missed by all. Boe and Kirsten are forever grateful that he had time to spend with them and get to know Boe, the man of her dreams. Kirsten knew from the start that she had something special with Boe and would have many conversations with her dad about him being “the one.” A couple of years later Boe and Kirsten began house hunting at the worst possible time to buy a house. It was common to have only a few hours to make a decision, put in an offer, and hope for the best. The two of them made a couple of offers and it didn’t work out. At the time it was disappointing, but when they came across an old farm house with a nice chunk of land, they knew it didn’t work out with the others for a reason. Boe and Kirsten bought their home in June of 2021. Less than a year later, they brought home their fur baby, Mya Grace and the house has been filled with endless energy ever since. Fast forward a few years and MANY hints dropped by Kirsten, Boe finally agreed to go ring shopping. The two agreed it would be easier to go together, especially because of having Kirsten’s parent’s engagement diamond to use. This makes the ring even more special. After a lot of searching, they finally found the perfect band and had the ring made in April of 2024. Don’t worry, he still made her wait. After much anticipation and waiting, two months later on their 6th anniversary, on June 15, 2024 Boe FINALLY proposed and it was PERFECT. Boe, Kirsten, family, and friends were all out in the river with boats anchored at their favorite spot, “the rocks.” A very shallow area perfect for hanging out and watching the dogs swim. Next thing you know, Boe announces to Kirsten that he found a bottle floating by. She jokingly responds with “no way, is there a note in it?” To which Boe answers “yeah, actually there is!” Kirsten walks over to Boe while he takes FOREVER to pull the note out and read it, until he eventually turns the note around which says “Kirsten Good will you marry me” Boe now pulls out a water proof case from his pocket, takes out the ring, gets down on one knee, and asks the question. Through so many tears and true shock, Kirsten happily replies with a “YES!” Meanwhile, Boe’s brother is behind us filming the whole proposal. He walks over to the crowd and shares what just happened, no one had any idea. Everyone immediately started cheering and champagne was popped. It was truly a magical moment and the video has been watched many times, thanks Jake! Kirsten finally gets to plan the wedding she has imagined for the last 6 years. We cannot wait to celebrate with you all and look forward to a night full of laughing, singing, and dancing! CHEERS!
