Andrew and Kirsten met at Mizzou on a night out at the famous campus bar, Bengals. Kirsten was out with Amanda (bridesmaid) and some other friends. In comes a friend of Amanda’s friend, Andrew, who helped pull them away from the creepy guys at the bar. The group hung out the rest of the night. Cut to, a few weeks later Kirsten & Amanda ran into Andrew and his friends again while out. The group started hanging out regularly & eventually Andrew asked Kirsten on a date for sushi. The rest is history, the pair have been together since then. 8 years and counting!

After college, Kirsten and Andrew weren’t quite sure where life would take them. Andrew is from Ballwin, Missouri and Kirsten grew up in Mokena, Illinois. But clearly the universe wanted them to work out because they both were offered great jobs in St. Louis. They got their first apartment together in The Grove neighborhood after graduation.

A few years, apartments, jobs and a pandemic later Andrew and Kirsten took a vacation to their favorite place- the beach. Kirsten planned a relaxing vacation for them but little did she know that Andrew had a plan of his own. Halfway into the trip, Andrew took Kirsten on walk on the beach to their dinner reservations. To Kirsten’s shock, they stumbled upon a ton of rose petals arranged on the beach. Andrew got on a knee and asked for her hand in marriage. Obviously, she said yes or you wouldn’t be reading this!! Shout out to Anthony(groomsmen) for helping make it all happen.

A few weeks after their trip, Kirsten’s parents came to visit ‘just for fun’. Kirsten, Andrew and Tyler (Kirstens brother) planned a weekend of great food and activities for them. On Saturday, Tyler did not show up on time for ANY of their plans AND found an excuse to miss dinner. While Kirsten was annoyed, her parents weren’t bothered so they went about their plans. Tyler called while they were at dinner and asked that they meet him out for some live music, a local band was playing he claimed. Andrew and Kirsten were suspicious walking into a ‘bar’ they had never heard of or seen. When they walked around back they found all their loved ones ready to celebrate their engagement. Tyler planned the best surprise engagement party and even managed to get the out of towers to come! If the engagement party is any indication of what the wedding will be like, you better be ready to party!

The couple now own their own home in Saint Charles, Missouri and have two dogs, Winston & Sully.

They are so excited to celebrate with you where their life together truly began after college! The wedding venue is in Tower Grove, close to their first few apartments so it holds a special place in their hearts. SEE YOU THERE!
