We first met in 2005 on our first day of kindergarten at Emmanuel Christian School. We became friends and had play dates every Wednesday at Burger King. Tyler only attended Emmanuel for that one year but we stayed friends throughout elementary school and middle school, going to vacation Bible school together and attending each other's birthday parties.

As highschoolers we kind of lost contact. We were attending different schools and living different lives. It wasn't until Kirsten was in college and Tyler was heading into the Marines that our friendship rekindled. But...Tyler was staring down a four year commitment to the USMC and Kirsten was in a rigorous nursing program.

However, we never lost contact. We would periodically check in as we remained friends. In 2022 Tyler finally moved back home!! But Kirsten....moved away. Tyler visited Kirsten in different cities as she pursed her dream of travel nursing and eventually we both decided that we no longer wanted to be just friends. (PS: I think we knew back in kindergarten that we didn't want to be JUST friends lol)

And in May of 2023 we officially started dating! Our relationship has matured so quickly having this foundation of friendship to build off of. And through the years, all along there was some invisible string, tying us together. ♡
