Although we attended rival high schools and had mutual friends, we truly met for the first time in April of 2021 at the Wednesday practice round of The Masters. Our first date came a week or two later, and was spent with several of Jack’s groomsmen at a bar in downtown Athens (Romantic, I know!) The next date was a night out watching the Braves play, where I started falling for Jack and, to my surprise, didn’t seem to mind the date turning into a chicken tender basket dinner on the ground outside the stadium when the game got delayed due to rain. The years to follow would be filled with just as much spontaneity and fun — countless trips back and forth between Athens and Atlanta, a lifetime’s worth of sporting events, regular date nights to AMC Theaters, an unforgettable European vacation, and many late night sweet treats. Three years later during the 2024 Masters Wednesday practice round, Jack proposed on the very course that we first spoke and on Hole 15, Firethorn.
