Koby and Brittney grew up only a few miles apart. They rode the school bus together every day. Koby and his brother Brendon would occasionally hang out with Brittney’s brother Jaden.

Koby’s attention shifted to Brittney on February 11, 2017 at a school dance. She asked him to dance once and he didn’t leave her side the rest of the night. A month later, he took her to prom where they danced the night away.
