Zach and Kodee (ya, we know...it's a Suite Life) met originally through church. They never really talked to each other though. Kodee's first memory of Zach was him at a Monday morning Young Adult prayer group thinking, "Wow, this guy is a mumbler." Her second memory of him, however, was at a Saturday morning serving opportunity through church at a low income farmer's market. There was this guy she hadn't ever talked to and didn't really know what to think about. He approached her saying, "I think my sister is in your Bible study." (She was) However, said Bible study hadn't started yet, so Kodee was a little confused, but eventually talked a bit more to this mumbler throughout the morning and started taking note of how servant hearted he was.

(In case you were wondering, Zach was still oblivious to any potential attraction at this point.)

Over the next couple of months, Zach and Kodee shared a few Instagram messages back and forth about C.S. Lewis (their favorite author), which is what first broke through Zach's ignorance of Kodee's interest. Shortly after this, Zach volunteered to help serve at a Summer Kids Camp that Kodee was hosting at work for kids staying in the shelter. After a week of being around each other more than just a couple hours, and some prompting from a couple friends, Zach asked Kodee to coffee...and they haven't gone a day without talking to each other since.

About 5 months in we both knew we had found the person we would spend the rest of our lives with. Since then, and since that first coffee date, God has used our relationship to both refine and bless us. Our prayer together has always been that we as individuals would come to better reflect Christ, and that our relationship (and now marriage!) would do the same.
