Our Wedding

If you ask Oscar:

We ran into each other at the bar one night and I had introduced myself. We were both with friends at the time so we didn't hit it off that night. Fast forward a few weeks and one of my friends and his girlfriend ,(Tony and Kiki), kept wanting me to message her so I did. We started texting each other here and there and I found at she was just finishing up college and moving back to Gillette soon. Eventually we met up to hang out at the gym one day and hit it off right away. Throughout that first week we learned that we had so much in common with each other. Our love for scary movies, late night adventures and taco bell pulled us closer and closer. One day Kolbi told me that she was moving to Laramie, Wy soon to continue her education and get her masters degree. Knowing I did not want such a good thing taken from me, I asked her if she would be willing to try long distance and be my girlfriend. With slight hesitation and a little persuasion she said yes. We continued our relationship living 3 hours apart. The weekend drives late at night were putting a lot of stress on me so I decided to do the most logical thing I could think of, I moved to Laramie. Living with each other for almost a year showed me I really wanted us to spend the rest of our lives together. It was the night of August 4th and Kolbi and I were laying in our hammock in the back yard. The night was clear and we were watching the stars and I decided I didn't want to wait any longer. I asked her to marry me and she said yes(this time with less hesitation).

On an April weekend home from college, Oscar saw me across the bar, and by the grace of God (or KiKi Johnston) he came to introduce himself to me. A week later, he began talking to me while I lived in Whitewood, SD and attended school at BHSU for my Bachelor's degree. We had agreed to meet again when I finished school in May.   Three days after graduation, I texted KiKi asking if I could work out with her because I knew it was a chance to see Oscar. At the time, my car was in the shop, so I needed KiKi to give me a ride. Little did I know she would send Oscar to pick me up. After the gym, we went back to Oscars, even though we didn't have plans for another few days, to watch movies. We ended up staying up all night talking. My first night at Oscar's I had already decided I was never going to leave. Oscar asked me to be his girlfriend within a few days of knowing each other, I said no. This did not stop Oscar from trying. In fact, he waited until I was begging him to ask me. So one June night, after days of me asking Oscar when he would ask me to be his girlfriend, he finally did.   We spent the entire summer together, day and night. When August came, I had to leave for school. Leaving Oscar was the hardest thing I ever had to do. That is when I knew I was in trouble. Thankfully, a year later, Oscar came to join me in Laramie. My questions of when I would be his girlfriend soon turned into when I would be his wife. However, Oscar knew I didn't want a proposal until I earned my Master's degree.   Finally, one day in August, as we were laying on the hammock, Oscar asked me to be his wife, and this time I said yes right away.
