Our Wedding

It wasn’t love at first sight for both of us, but it was definitely fate in slow motion. Here’s how our story unfolded—one message, one tractor pull, and one hang-out at a time.

It all started with a simple text on September 27, 2020. I had seen him at the tractor pulls but didn't know anything about him other than the fact he was younger than me. After that text, things slowly—and a little bit sneakily—picked up. He asked for my Snapchat the very next day, and by October, I had his number saved in my phone.We hung out, made TikToks (if only they hadn't gotten deleted), and talked every day. I knew I enjoyed being around him and wanted him in my life, but I just couldn't figure out what I was feeling.He asked me out for the first time—if only I was smart enough to say yes—but after a long-term relationship, I wanted time for myself.December hit, and our conversations paused for a while. But like any good story, we found our way back—snapping again in 2021, reconnecting bit by bit.Yet again, he asked me out, but I still was not smart enough. I was leaving for Kentucky, and it just was not the right time.Fast forward to August 2023, when he re-added me on Snapchat, and the tractor talk began again yet I was gone at college so nothing came from it.Then June 2024 hit, and the hardcore flirting came out.From tractor pulls to rodeos, golfing, mopeds, and even fixing my clutch together—every moment was another nudge in me to date him. Once again, though, it felt like poor timing, with me still in college and not living in the county. The thought of being completely tied down to someone also scared me a little—I liked the idea of freedom. I wasn't sure what I wanted, but I knew I liked him and I liked being around him.By August 1, 2024, after another tractor pull, we had gone out to dinner, and after he taught me how to drive his truck—which apparently he never let people do—at this moment, I knew he was going to ask me again, and this was finally the time I would say yes.After that, time flew, and it had felt like we had been dating for years, even if we were still in months. I never questioned anything again—I knew he was the one.

It all started at my second-ever tractor pull. I saw her and instantly knew that she was the one. She was so beautiful and held herself high and always had a smile on her face. I wanted to date her so badly, but I couldn’t—she had a boyfriend… yeah, how terrible, right? So I didn’t bother her until the next year. I remember the first thing I did after the September pull was… not talk to her lol. I was too shy, just couldn’t do it. Yeah, I know—what a wuss. But what I did end up doing was finding her on social media and messaging her about tractors, of course.We started chatting here and there and ended up hanging out, and one time I let her straighten my hair—and I don’t let anyone do that. But I knew if I wanted to date her, I would have to let her. We hung out a few more times after that that year, did some people-watching and got ice cream, made silly TikTok videos, and then I decided to try and ask her out—and guess what? She said no. Like, c’mon, why?So we were friends that talked once in a while and went our own ways. Next year, the tractor pulls came around again, and I saw her, and I was a little more comfortable around her. I was flirting with her and trying to get her to tell me where to go on the track because I wanted to beat her, of course—but no, she beat me, like, all the time, it felt like. So I would pick on her to give me a chance. She wouldn’t.The next year, I got a new tractor, and we would go back and forth beating each other and flirting at every tractor pull for a few years, and she never could bring herself to say yes to going out with me. Until… May 2024, right before the June tractor pulls. We were flirting a lot; she was all I could think about. We went on dates all the time and were hanging out, and then in August, I was trying to figure out if she was trying to be my friend again or actually date me. So I asked her out—and she said YES!So we started to date and always be around each other. It felt like a dream come true. I was so glad that I stayed consistent and that I get to spend the rest of my life with the girl of my dreams! She’s my everything! I love her so much!!!
