Our Wedding

Emma and Kole first laid eyes on each other on September 19, 2020. After multiple weeks of smoke filled air with an average AQI in the high 300's, they were ready to get back out into the fresh air. Amongst the time stuck indoors due to the wildfires outside their doorsteps, they both happened to download at the time what felt like a light hearted fun little app called: Bumble. Little did they know this was the beginning of an entirely new adventure in both of their lives. Emma had finally stumbled upon Kole's profile after what felt like ages of fishing through what can only be described as unworthy men! Just hoping this would be a match. She was enamored by his smile &amp; clear blue eyes. Oh, and did I mention he was also working with horses? Which fortunately happened to be Emma's favorite hobby. Well more than a hobby really... a lifestyle. AND it was an English barn? God almighty this has to be a match. Right swipe..... IT'S A MATCH. Fast forward three and a half years later the two decided to make a life changing decision. It was time to leave their beloved jobs, clear mountain views, and smell of pine trees to move together to Kansas City. (Have you seen the housing market lately in ski resort towns?!) While planning a beautiful trip to the Oregon coast before their move to the midwest, Kole was also planning something big. Their trip started in Coos Bay, OR to a few places that held childhood memories for both Kole and Emma's father, Doug, and aunt Sandy. After spending time there, they journeyed on to their air bnb near the docks in Bandon. Exploring there together was so romantic and fun! They had a great time, and moved on the next evening to one final location: Battle Rock Beach in Port Orford, OR. Even though there was quite a few storm showers, by the time they arrived, the skies had cleared. They climbed up Battle Rock to see a beautiful, calm view of the ocean. There, Kole asked Emma to be his wife. She accepted through happy tears with no hesitation! Together, they are excited to see where life will take them, and are so excited to share this exciting chapter of life with you. Thank you for being a part of their wedding day!

 Wyatt and Kole met in high school in 2013 and have remained friends ever since. They’ve been through good times, bad times, and everything in between together. From roommates, to working together at multiple different jobs, jamming, skipping school, skateboarding and more. No better man for the role 🤝                         (pictured on the right)

Julie and Emma have always loved spending cousin time together, but their friendship truly blossomed when they both were living in Lawrence. Having SO many fun times together, and agreeing on essentially any and every topic showed Emma how similar the pair are. Emma knew she had found her true twin flame, her ride or die for life!

Ariel is Emma's favorite sister! She is married to Sam, brother of the bride. Ariel and Emma have much in common; both having a huge passion for helping people, being creative, and putting up with Sam. (We also both love him very much! :) Emma's favorite thing about Ariel is that she's an incredible listener, and brings so much warmth and compassion to every conversation. She's a gem!!

Gauge is Kole's younger brother. They’ve been through it all, from Gauge's first steps, to breaking his arm on the slide bed, graduating high school, and going to college. Who better to stand up there than G$? (pictured in the middle)

Emma and Rachele hit it off the absolute second they met! As the youngest cousins in the mix, they loved running off together and finding fun treasures to get into. Whether journalling to each other, or making secret codes (CCC!), the distance between Kansas City and Lincoln, or even Oregon and Texas, didn't keep them apart in heart. Emma is so happy to have Rachele stand with her on this special day!

Dylan and Kole met in high school English class in 2012. For the first 3 months they new each other only by “obey” and “supreme” as they never bothered to learn each others names despite having hung out outside of school and talking everyday. They have remained great friends to this day and “legacy” lives on.
