Kori and Nicole met while working in education in 2018. They crossed paths multiple times before Nicole invited Kori on their first series of dates. They bonded over sports, fitness, jokes, bowling, and movies. The more they hung out with one another, the more inseparable the two became.

On July 4th, 2021 Kori wanted to get up early to watch the sunrise on Miami Beach, little did she know that Nicole was planning to propose to her. Nicole proposed at 6:39am as the sun was peaking through the clouds. Kori agreed that they should spend the rest of their lives together.
