Our Wedding

The story begins in 2020 - which was quite the year in a lot of ways. As a lot of people know, Brock and Korina work together in Cleveland, Ohio. However, it wasn't for quite some time (probably around 6 months) that they actually said more than a few words to each other at work. Korina's first impression of Brock was him coming back to work from a Thanksgiving Turkey Bowl with a separated shoulder. He sat diagonal from where she sat and watched him struggle to type and use his mouse. Her initial thought was, "Wow, that poor guy. I wonder what is wrong with him." But that quickly led them to having more and more interactions and conversations. Maybe the shoulder situation wasn't so bad after all! Brock's first impression of Korina was, "who is the girl always talking in a baby voice across the office and takes dressing up for Halloween very serious?" Brock noticed Korina way before she noticed him as she was always running around the office making everyone laugh and doing very well at her job. He knew she was competitive, and when their office had a Halloween costume contest she put together the best Jigsaw outfit he had ever seen and even had a mini tricycle to go with it. It wasn't until they moved closer together that he finally got to really get to know her and find out the funny voices and competitive nature was just the small fraction of how great she really was. They were just starting to get to know each other when Covid happened. They both decided that it made more sense for them to go home to their families during those uncertain times. So Brock went back to Columbus and Korina went down to Pensacola. This was going to be the first telling sign of what was going to come with their relationship. After only about a week separated, they were trying to figure out a way to see each other. Flying seemed like an unsafe option so Brock decided that he would pack up his Jeep and drive the 14 hours down to Florida. From there, they spent over a month together, Airbnb hopping along the Gulf Shores. Mind you, with no one traveling everything was so cheap so they were staying in luxury ocean front condo's that they had no business staying in at that time. They had an absolute blast - between cooking together, picnics on the beach, fishing trips, working remote together, and late nights dancing to music on the beach, they couldn't have asked for anything more. It was then that they both knew they found their person. That was the first of many adventures that they would embark on together. Since then, Brock and Korina bought a house together in Cleveland, still work together, and have became parents to a beautiful mini golden doodle named Winnie. Choosing to get married and spend their lives together is a monumental decision, yet for them, it's the simplest choice they've ever made. They know that a life together promises boundless love, countless moments of laughter, and continuous personal and shared growth.
