Our story starts all the way back in high school. We’d run into each other here and there, usually surrounded by friends, and we always just clicked. From the start, we had a playful connection, hugging like we hadn’t seen each other in years, saying “I love you so much!” like it was our catchphrase, and joking that we were secretly in love. There are even old photos floating around with captions like, “Never been so in love,” (scroll to the bottom to see). It was all a running joke… or so we thought.

Over the years, we kept in touch. Nothing big, just the occasional check-in and friendly streak of conversation. At some point, Kortney had a small get-together and invited Olin to stop by. We had a great time, and from there we found ourselves spending more time together - and not just in group settings.

Eventually, Olin asked Kortney over for an actual date. He made dinner, poured some wine, and we talked for hours. It felt easy, familiar, and a little like something had been waiting for us to notice it.

Now, we sometimes laugh about all those old jokes, because what once was just pretend turned out to be something very real. And we couldn’t be more excited to turn that into forever.
