Kory and Ali's story begins with a wedding. Not just any old wedding, mind you. This was the wedding of Ali's roommate & Kory's boss (to a lovely man named Tim).

They had never seen each other before. Kory had never been to Vermont. Ali had never studied communication at the graduate level. Despite these differences, Ali's roommate & Kory's boss placed Ali and Kory together at the same table. A "Hello" turned into a walk outside together; two specialty cocktails turned into a night of bad dancing, but the beginning of something special.

The story would have ended there if not for Ali's bravery.

Both returned home to begin graduate school, and months passed.
