Erik and Krina met at Meijer in 2018 when Krina was picking up her dad's prescription and saw Erik for the first time. She smiled and introduced herself as the pharmacy intern from Michigan City. Erik noticed how friendly and beautiful she was and never forgot. They met for the second time when they took their pharmacy board exams, which happened to be on the same day. They exchanged phone numbers after the exam to let each other know how badly they each failed once they found out. This was the beginning of their friendship.

In September of 2019, Erik asked Krina out for their official first date at the Stray Dog in New Buffalo, Michigan. Erik showed Krina this restaurant, and now it is one of her favorites. Little did they know that they would travel back to New Buffalo on multiple occasions to dine, bike, and enjoy sunsets and fireworks on the beach.

Fast forward to August 26, 2023 in New Buffalo. Erik took Krina out to the beach at sunset and asked her to marry him down the street from the location of their first date. Krina said YES with tears in her eyes! They celebrated afterwards with friends and family at Stray Dog.
