How it started... 

Tyrus and I first noticed each other during OFSAA in grade 12, but we didn’t actually start talking until June 2018—when I slid into his DMs.We chatted all summer but never ended up meeting in person. That fall, Tyrus was heading to Nipissing and I was already at Canadore. On his very first night in North Bay, he got completely trashed and ended up calling me at 1 a.m.… from a ditch… soaking wet.When he got into the car with me and my friend Becca Leask, the first thing he said was, “Kristen, this is not how I wanted to first meet.” Becca and I could barely keep it together—after three full months of talking, he still didn’t know how to pronounce my name.But I gave him a second chance. We hung out the next day… and the rest is history.
