They say opposites attract, but we think a shared love fot medicine, dogs, football, IPAs, live music, and Saturday mornings at F45 is a pretty solid foundation! Our paths crossed during Krissi’s Dermatology residency at UNC and Matt’s Hospitalist fellowship at Fort Bragg, proving that even the busiest schedules can’t interfere with a good connection. Fast forward to a couple years later and Matt popped the question during a beautiful Hilton Head Island sunset. From cheering on the Tar Heels together to escaping to Lake Gaston for relaxing weekends, our North Carolina chapter was unforgettable. Now, thanks to the Army and an amazing opportunity at Nashville Skin Comprehensive Dermatology Center, we’re living the dream in Nashville with our furry friends, Lilly and Whiskey. Get ready to celebrate our next adventure… We cant wait to say “I do” with all of our favorite people in our new city!

Our Story

Erin & Krissi met at UNC School of Medicine. They are both "Triple Tarheels" having attended undergrad, medical school, and residency at UNC. Erin is a Pediatrician in Cary, NC and lives in Durham, NC with her husband James, 2 young children, and goldendoodle Finley.

Grayson & Krissi have been close friends since pre-school. They made many memories together at Ravenscroft, North Ridge Country Club, Camp Cheerio, & Lake Gaston. Grayson resides in Atlanta, Georgia.

Clayton & Krissi met in UNC Tri Delta. They went on to be roomies for 5 years during undergrad and graduate school. They are thrilled to be living in the same city again! Clayton works as a Nephrology Nurse Practicioner at Vanderbilt.

Lexi & Krissi lived a couple rooms down from each other in the UNC freshman dorm Granville Towers. The pair quickly realized they had tons in common and have remained dear friends ever since. Lexi lives in Charlotte, NC with her husband Thomas, beautiful baby boy, and kitty Butterbean.

Tori & Krissi met in an Organic Chemistry class at UNC, but their friendship quickly grew well beyond the library. Tori and her husband Dylan live in NC where they split time between Charlotte, Wrightsville Beach, and Pinehurst.

Caroline is Krissi's Little Sister from UNC Tri Delta. They have made many memories traveling to Italy, Croatia, Montenegro, Amsterdam, Portugual, and France together. Caroline currently resides in London with her husband Daniel.

Hannah is Krissi’s amazing sister-in-law! Hannah was officially welcomed into the Fajgenbaum family September 2024 when she married Phillip in Charlotte, NC. Their Pomeranian Buttercup is the sister of Krissi's Pomeranian Whiskey.

Justin and Matt met in Dillon Hall at Notre Dame. After college he had a long stint in Chicago, but he has since moved back home to the Big Apple, living just outside the city in Hoboken with his girlfriend Mary.

Andrew and Matt were roommates at Notre Dame. During their senior year, they ran the Chicago marathon. He currently resides in Boulder, CO with his wife Kirsten and their two boys.

Jack and Matt go back to their days rowing at Notre Dame. When Jack got tired, Matt would row Jack’s oar in addition to his own. Jack's career as a lawyer has taken him all over the country, but he recently relocated to DC.

Jack Gillen

Marshall and Matt also met in Dillon Hall at Notre Dame. The two Indiana natives took Spanish courses together and still today find ways to use the language incorrectly. He currently resides in Louisville with his fiance Teri.

Marshall Hopkins

Phillip is the protective big brother of the bride. Fortunately for Matt, he has been nicer to him than he was to Krissi when they were growing up. Nonetheless, Phillip never misses an opportunity to beat him on the golf course or xbox.

Ryan and Matt met on the labor and delivery unit in residency. When not catching babies, they spent their time on the golf course avoiding the hospital. Similar to Matt, Ryan continues to practice as a physician in the Army. He lives in Raleigh with his wife, Anastasia.
