Q + A

Before the Wedding

How should I RSVP?

To RSVP, please click the "RSVP" tab and types your first and last name. You will be able to RSVP for yourself and other members of your party at the same time. Please RSVP before February 17th 2025. If you are unable to attend, you will be missed, and we ask that you let us know at your earliest convenience. Any RSVPs received after the deadline will be marked as "no", as we will be sending final head counts to vendors shortly after this date.

Can I bring a plus one?

Due to limited venue capacity, we are unable to accommodate plus ones unless it is specifically indicated on your invite envelope. When you go to RSVP, you will be able to see the exact number of people you can RSVP for.

Are kids welcome?

Although we love your little ones, we regretfully cannot accommodate everyone's children due to limited venue capacity. Please refer to the RSVP tab to see how many individuals you can RSVP for. If there are any issues or concerns, please reach out to Peter or Krissy!

Is there a dress code?

We ask the guests dress to a semi-formal dress code. For women, that includes dresses, skirts, pantsuits or trousers. We kindly ask that you refrain from wearing colors traditionally reserved for the bride, such as white, ivory or cream. For men, that includes dress shirts and dress pants, with ties and jackets optional.

The Big Day

Will the ceremony or reception be held indoors or outdoors?

Both the ceremony and reception will be held indoors.

What time does the ceremony and reception start?

The ceremony will start promptly at 2:00 p.m. with a full Catholic Mass. We recommend arriving between 15 and 30 minutes early to find a seat and mingle with guests. The reception will begin at 3:30 p.m. with a cocktail hour. We invite guests to have a drink and some light refreshments before the dinner and dancing to follow. Mass will end at roughly 3:00 p.m., giving guests time to make their way over to the reception space.

Where can I park for the ceremony?

Our Lady of Lourdes does not have a parking lot for guests, but there are several parking options nearby. Street parking is available in the surrounding area. We recommend using the MPLS Parking app. The River Place Municipal Parking Ramp is located next to the church and charges a fee of $2.00 per hour. Please note that this ramp uses a mobile payment system using a QR code rather than physical tickets.

Will there be a receiving line after the ceremony?

Due to limited space and and time before the Saturday evening Mass, we regret that Our Lady of Lourdes cannot accommodate a receiving line immediately following the ceremony. We will be eager to connect with you at the reception later in the evening!

Where can I park for the reception?

Guests can park for free in the parking lot of Northeast Bank, located at 77 Broadway Street NE, Minneapolis, MN 55413. Signage will be displayed on the wedding day to indicate to guests where to park. From there, you can take a short walking path between Northeast Bank and the 1893 at the Historic Grain Belt Office to enter through the front door.

How will seating work?

The ceremony will be open seating at the church, but please reserve the first few rows for family and the wedding party. For the reception, we will be thoughtfully arranging guests so they will be seated with those they know.

Can we take our own pictures and videos throughout the day?

We would love for you to capture our big day! However, we do ask that you refrain from using your phone or camera during the ceremony, where our photographer and videographer will be capturing that special moment.
