Getting There
Airports
You can reach Carmel a few different ways:
Monterey Regional Airport (MRY): The closest option, just about 10 minutes from Carmel. MRY offers a handful of direct flights as well as connections through major hubs across the country. If you can find a route that works, this is the most convenient choice.
San Jose International Airport (SJC): About 1–1.5 hours away by car. SJC has a wider selection of flights than MRY and can be a good balance of convenience and route availability.
San Francisco International Airport (SFO): Typically 1.5–2 hours from Carmel (but sometimes longer depending on traffic). SFO offers the most flight options.
If you’re flying into SJC or SFO, be sure to allow extra travel time. Bay Area traffic—especially on weekends—can stretch the drive to Carmel.
Transportation
Car Rentals: Major rental companies are available at the airports above. If you are flying into MRY, a car is not necessary, but can be convenient if you’d like to explore beyond Carmel.
Shuttles: Groome Transportation runs shared shuttles to and from MRY, SJC, and SFO airports. Be sure to book ahead via their website.
Local Transportation: Carmel’s downtown area is very walkable. Rideshares like Uber and Lyft are available around the Monterey Peninsula as well.
To the Wedding Venue: Transportation will be required and provided to and from the wedding. More details will be shared with formal invitations.

Set on a spacious, tree-lined property near the scenic Del Monte Forest, the Hyatt Regency Monterey is just a 10–15 minute drive from Carmel-by-the-Sea and offers easy access to Pebble Beach, 17-Mile Drive, and nearby dining and shops.
Monterey Marriott
Situated in the heart of downtown Monterey, the Monterey Marriott is within walking distance of Cannery Row, Fisherman’s Wharf, and local shops and restaurants, about a 15–20 minute drive from Carmel-by-the-Sea.
