We went to the same school and met through a mutual friend. At first, I (Krista) did not want to have anything to do with any relationship with anyone. But Derek was persistent and here we are today. :)

Derek told me that we were going out for a "fancy date" on the Tuesday night right before Christmas. I was automatically suspicious, but did not ask any questions. We never go on fancy dates. We are not very fancy people. ;) Anyway, he took me to downtown Atlanta and we ate at the Sundial restaurant. It was FABULOUS! Then he took me to Centennial Park where we would exchange our early Christmas gifts to each other. He had taken a book, cut out the center, and placed the ring inside. When I opened the book, he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. It was an absolutely perfect night.
