It all started with a swipe on Bumble... and a Pandemic lockdown! Krista and Ryan had their first date on March 13, 2020, the day Texas declared a State of Emergency due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While the world went into "uncertain times," our "new normal" was stay-at-home dates, making new friends, and exploring Dallas (socially distanced, of course!).

Dating during the pandemic was actually a lot of fun! We had dinner dates on my apartment rooftop, pool days, theme nights, game nights, and drive-in theater dates! You get to know someone really quickly during a pandemic, but luckily Krista's nightly Taylor Swift concerts and Ryan's constant quoting of various movies didn't deter them from each other!

On the second date, Ryan told Krista that if he ever wanted to propose to someone, it would be in Europe. Luckily for Ryan, Krista loves planning european trips! Ryan surprised Krista at the end of a week long trip in France with the proposal during the photoshoot Krista made Ryan do, originally for decoration pictures! Of course, the shoot turned out to be our engagement shoot in the City of Love. The rest is history!
