Picture this: January 2021, a time when swiping left and right was practically a hobby and the world was just starting to reopen. Alan's friends had convinced him to make a profile, his hopes to find someone that wasn't necessarily from Virginia like he was. Krista, with almost the opposite intention, was looking for someone that was from the area. Little did we know that a simple swipe on Bumble would kickstart the adventure of a lifetime, and the beginning of our future.

So there we were, just two strangers in a sea of profiles, when fate intervened and brought us together with that magical match. Cue the awkward opening lines and nervous excitement that followed as we tentatively started chatting.

If you ask Alan he will for sure let you know that he had to "double message" me before I gave up on the app all together. Once that happened though those initial messages turned into hour long conversations on the phone. It was truly effortless; we felt like we knew each other and connected well before we even had our first date.

It was early on in dating that we both knew something just fit between the two of us. Yet our love story went at its own pace and we were able to truly grow together and realize just how good we were TOGETHER. Fun fact: Alan never officially asked me to be his girlfriend. Don't worry though he has asked the even bigger and more important questions - like what are your dreams/goals, will you meet my friends, will you meet my family, will you move in with me, and the most recent (my favorite) will you marry me?

Fast forward through countless boat days, movie/game nights, and family trips (Olive included), and here we are today, ready to tie the knot and start the next chapter of our journey together. Who would've thought that a simple swipe could lead to a love story this extraordinary?
