Although meeting online is more and more common all the time, it was not how either of us expected to meet someone we clicked with so well.
From our first chat, to our 1st through 3rd dates (all in a week's timespan), to "officially" dating; the feeling that this was "right" was immediate.

We managed to learn so much about one another while being long distance for the first 4 months, while I finished my PhD course work. We learned that we're both huge nerds, have broad tastes in music, love to help others in any way we can, and are hard-working. We bonded over my love for, and teaching Chris about, Doctor Who. (If you know us at all, you know how much we love it!)

In the 2.5 years after we met, I moved home from IUP, we adventured to Myrtle Beach, Aruba, cider fests, and in to eachother's home and hearts.

On April 16, 2019 when Chris randomly showed me some art he made of a LOVE sign with the TARDIS, and I discovered on my own that the TARDIS was in fact a ring box with my ring hidden inside, the only answer to "Will you marry me" was "you know I will!”

From April 2019 to March 2020, we began to plan our wedding. All things were going smoothly until the pandemic hit. Although we postponed the full ceremony and reception to 2021, we legally married on our original date, August 23, 2020.

We want to thank our family and friends for their understanding during this unprecedented time. We look forward to belatedly celebrating our union with you at our marriage celebration!

**UPDATE 7/15/21:
For the wedding- Masks will not required for our wedding celebration at all! It is up to you, our guests, to decide what you are most comfortable with. Sand Springs staff will not be wearing masks.
For the Rehearsal and Welcome Reception - The venue asks that unvaccinated guests wear a mask when entering and traveling throughout common areas (to the bathroom). However, they do not require masks or proof of vaccination.

Your health is very important to us. If you are unable to attend due to COVID-19 concerns or any other reason, we completely understand! If you have to celebrate from afar, we will have LOTS of pictures, videos, and more to share with you.

If you do plan to attend any of our events (Bridal Shower, Rehearsal, Welcome Reception, or Wedding), please take extra precautions leading up to them. Please don't attend if you do not feel well. During our events we ask that you social distance as much as possible. There will be plenty of hand sanitizer and masks available!
As this situation continues to be unpredictable, know that we will keep you updated as best as we can if plans/regulations change.
