Are children allowed at the Welcome Party and Ceremony/Reception?
While we love the little ones, we have chosen to make our wedding weekend adults only. Thank you for your understanding.
What is the Welcome Drinks Dress Code?
Please come to Taverna in your chicest Mexico City inspired outfits for a night of cocktails and fun. Party starts at 730pm and goes till midnight! See below for inspo!
What is the Ceremony/Reception Dress Code?
We request guests to attend in Creative Black Tie. See below for the attire inspiration and color palette.
I'm still not sure where to stay, any recommendations?
We have a few more spaces in our room block left at Hotel CondesaDF. The rooftop bar and restaurant in the hotel are great and are in the heart of Mexico City. Also there are so many great hotels and Airbnbs in town. You can rarely go wrong!
What kind of shoes should I pack?
Comfortable walking shoes to explore Mexico City. For the ladies, the welcome drink and wedding ceremony venue will have uneven surfaces, so best to avoid stilettos, but a wide heel or platform shoe are great. For the guys, for Friday, Google Huaraches if you're looking for footwear inspiration that's Mexico City "chic." For Saturday, tux or dress shoes will be great.
What is Mexico City like?
Imagine LA, New York, Paris, & Rome all rolled into one amazing city with all the best parts of Latin America.
It's sprawling like LA (with double the traffic - plan in advance to sit a few extra minutes going long distances).
It has museums that rival New York and Paris.
It has the history of Rome, with local (and global) food that will blow your mind.
What's the altitude like in Mexico City?
The altitude is 7,349 feet.
Denver is 5,280 feet. Telluride is 8,754 feet. New York and LA are 0 feet.
I don't spend a lot of time at high altitudes, how will my body handle it?
The altitude should not be taken for granted. For every alcoholic drink you have, order 2 bottles of water. Our venue is an additional 2000 feet higher than Mexico City, so please take your time when drinking, and remember to hydrate and have electrolyte refills! There are many OXXO stores around the city where you can order water for the room, and Electrolyte heavy drinks to stay in good shape!
Additional tricks to beat elevation sickness include:
Ginko biloba pills. If you take them a few days before you come, and continue having them while in Mexico City, you should have a leg up on any altitude issues.
Avoid sleeping pills if possible.
Ibuprofen for altitude headaches.
Slow down.
Eat carbs and more tacos.
Is Mexico City safe?
You're in a major city so use your best judgement, but it's just as safe as New York or LA.
Walking around Condesa, Roma, Juárez & La Reforma is beautiful, scenic, with lots of little cafes, bars, restaurants, and local parks to easily pop into. The people are incredibly nice, hospitable, and a welcome home to tourists.
Where is your Saturday wedding venue?
Our venue is 2000 feet higher than the city. We will have buses taking everyone from the two pickup locations to the venue so please be prompt. It is about a 40 minute drive from either location to the venue. There will be water and refreshments on the shuttles, but please plan accordingly for the drive. We want the venue reveal to be a surprise so that's all we're saying for now.
How do I get around Mexico City?
If you're hanging out solely in Condesa / Roma / La Reforma / Juárez you can easily walk around if you've got the energy.
If you want to explore more areas, Uber is everywhere, cheap, and reliable. Choose it over taxis for better pricing, and ease of movement. Uber is the best choice coming out of the airport. Everyone takes it.
Will there be wifi / cell service at the venue?
Yes.
How do I leave the Saturday wedding venue if I want to go home early?
There will be shuttles running every hour as soon as dinner ends. The return drive should take 30-40 minutes. The drop-off locations will be at Four Seasons and Hotel CondesaDF.
What, where, when is the party on Sunday?
We will be having a casual, small brunch for those still in town on Sunday. Location and timing coming soon. If you plan to be there Sunday just let us know.
I want to shop! Where should I go?
There is incredible shopping in Condesa and Roma if you walk around. Vintage, new places like Xinú Perfumes for local fragrances, and head to Polanco for high end stores like Lago.
I have a wedding question and don't want to bother you, who should I contact?
Number coming soon...
