Our Wedding

How They Met

The couple met (again) at the Iroquois Café Street Dance in July of 2018. Krista graduated from South Newton High School a few years before David so they had certainly meet before 2018. They must have sat through several FFA meetings together. Krista likely cheered David's football team on. David says Krista cut him in the lunch line.

The Engagement Story

Krista, the planner that she is, had organized a photo session on a Friday afternoon with their friend Kelcy. Krista needed some head shots for an agriculture magazine she will be featured in and though she and David should get some photos for a Christmas card while they were at it.David, sleepless from a night shift at work, called Kelsey (wrong Kelcy/Kelsey friend photographer) to let her know his plans. After a confusing conversation, he got ahold of the right Kelcy and the scheming began. After an hour of couple photos out at Oakwood (Krista's woods and farm), Kelcy asked if they would like any more photos. Krista said, "that should do it". David said, "how about a couple more right here in this open field area?" He asked Krista if she was "sick of waiting on me to propose", got down on one knee, and asked her to marry him. She said "of course". Kelcy got the whole adventure photographed. David got 1,000 extra bonus points for having a photographer at the proposal.

Things to Do

Ashlen, wife to Krista's best friend Matt, and now also best friend will be standing by her side on this special day. They became fast friends years ago and have many wine adventure memories to prove it.

Mark is David's older brother and a true friend. These two spent time together farming, working on equipment, riding dirt bikes, and much more. Though he's not excited about giving a speech, he will do great in this role. The couple couldn't imagine their day without all their family standing up with them.

Jessica is Krista's cousin. Their fathers are brothers. They grew up just miles apart and often rode their bikes to meet "half way'. Lots of slumber parties and girly adventures for these two over the years.

Evan is David’s high school friend. These two spend lots of time together riding dirt bikes. Wether is was a week day or a weekend they were testing their courage in their bikes, hoping to make the landing.

Sam is Krista's best friend from college. Sam "made her be her friend". They enjoy reading books that become movies and then going on day dates to watch them. This is one long distant relationship that has lasted!

Kole is David’s high school friend and 1/3 of the “paper route bandits”. Running the paper route, baling hay, or fixing up motors to make it to the next dirt bike race, these boys liked to work.

Kimberly is Krista's oldest friend. They went to preschool and then middle and high school together. The friendship runs long with these two and the jokes always go just a little too far.

Derek is David’s high school friend and oldest (driver) 1/3 of the “paper route bandits”. Growing up these two were always side by side; running the paper route, getting in paint ball battles, or racing dirt bikes.

Carrie is David's sister and Krista's future sister-in-law. Krista & Carrie share a love of teasing David and Willy. The couple is excited to have all the family sanding up with them on there with them on their special day!

Matt is Krista's best friend and David's friend too. At Matt & Ashlen's wedding Krista was worried she would have to wear a suit and stand on the guys side. Matt worries now if he will need a dress for the big day!

Kelli is distant cousins to Krista. She's wonderful and thoughtful friend and a BADA$$ hair stylist. She brings fun wherever she goes. The couple couldn't imagine the  day without her.

Cody is Krista's cousin. Cody provides the best one liners at all the family and friend functions and is always willing to help out when he can. He also will never turn down a home cooked meal.

Kendra is friends with the couple and we suspect will become family sooner than later. She dates Tyler, Krista's cousin. Kendra knows how to have a good time and demands the same of everyone around her.

Tyler is Krista's cousin but functions more like a sibling. They share a love of the woods and hunting. Tyler is always there to provide some muscle when Krista needs it.

To Lulu (10), Krista is really "Aunt Krista". She is super excited to enjoy a day of pampering before the wedding. She's looking forward to wearing a pretty dress and getting her hair done with the girls!

Krista is "Aunt Krista" to Chloie and also her Godmother. Chloie will be an expert flower girl. She's already got a great resume in this field. She was Clifford's flower girl last summer. They hope to have her wear the same flower girl dress Krista wore as a flower girl years ago.

Grayson Clint, the son of Josh & Mia, was named after Krista's brother Clint and thus is immediately part of the family.  He is a ray of sunshine and such a sweet little guy. Grayson is excited to dress up in a suit just like Papa Kyle's!

Josh is "big brother" to Krista and a surrogate son to Kyle and Sue. We couldn't think of anyone better to take Clint's place of walking Sue, Mother of the Bride, down the aisle and usher our friends and family into the ceremony.

Eric is David's cousin and friend. These boys have many fond memories of spending time with all their many cousins around the holidays in Southern Indiana. Cousins are your first friends.
