Our Story

Krista and Lee's love story began with a swipe on the dating app Hinge. Krista matched with Lee on February 28, 2022 and thought she could impress Lee with her dry humor and cute pictures of her dogs, Toby and Livie. On St. Patrick's Day, Lee and Krista met in person for their first date at BJ's Brewhouse in Lafayette. Over the next couple of years, Lee and Krista continued to grow their relationship. They began to develop a bond that created a new level of happiness between them. They felt as if they had known each other for many years.

The Proposal

On July 5, 2024, Lee planned to take Krista to dinner at their favorite restaurant, Antoni's. He could not do it on the 4th of July because he promised Krista that he would not propose on a holiday. The night of the engagement, Lee did not know that Krista had two plumbers at her house doing maintenance on her water heater. He patiently waited in anticipation on the couch as Krista got ready for dinner. Once Krista was ready to go, Lee got down on one knee with the ring and proposed. The dogs quickly tackled Lee to the ground in excitement. Krista and Lee laughed and cried, as they immediately shared the news with their parents. They celebrated the night, engaged, at Antoni's over a bottle of wine and chicken parmesan! The last three years together have been the best years of their lives. They have shared many dinners, sporting events, concerts, movie nights, blending of friends and family, and of course, Lee becoming a dog dad to Toby and Livie. Krista and Lee are grateful to be surrounded by supportive family and friends. They cannot wait to celebrate with you in October!
