Our Wedding

I guess our story starts with a good ol’ fashioned “slide into the DMs”. Nick reached out to me on Facebook, I initially tried to keep it short but he wasn’t letting me end the conversation too quickly... Next thing you know we were planning our first date. I suggested we meet at El Tapatio in Versailles so I could still do my normal after-work routine of going to the gym. (My gym is next door to the restaurant.) I figured if it didn’t go well at least I didn’t mess up my gym routine for the week... LOL I remember getting ready in the gym locker room for our date. I put on my sun dress & was fixing my hair & makeup & making sure I didn’t stink from my workout. Lol As I was finishing up, a lady walked in & told me I looked nice. I thanked her & said “I’m about to go on a first date & I’m really nervous. You never know when it’s your last first date.” She reassured me that everything was going to be fine & not to be nervous. Little did I know it was going to be my last first date. I left the gym & made it over to El Tap. I knew I had beat him there so I went in & got us a table. He walks into the restaurant a few minutes later & I wave him over to the booth. We immediately started talking & figuring out we had a lot in common including a love for chips & salsa. Conversation was flowing well & I knew I didn’t want the night to end so I suggested we go play some pool at the pool hall down the street & he was all for it. So I tell him get in the car, I’ll drive. We go on to play 3 games of pool & he beat me all 3 times. (Not by much though.) And I knew then I had finally met my match & I couldn’t wait to see Nick again.

Krista’s Version

May The Fourth Be with you:&nbsp;May 4, 2022 was the day I boldly slid into your DM’s. I had seen other posts and stories you had made on Facebook and always noticed how beautiful you were and that you really enjoyed going to the gym and posting “workout selfies”. Fortunately for me, I got a response from Krista and the conversation led to many. Eventually leading to our first official date. The date was at a Mexican restaurant in Versailles, El Tapatio, and I remembered getting the excited butterflies feeling. A feeling I hadn’t felt in a long time.&nbsp;When I got to the restaurant I remember walking in and looking around. I did not see Krista anywhere and felt I was at the wrong place or I had gotten stood up. Unbeknownst to me, she had texted me saying she had already gotten a table.&nbsp;Fortunately, I saw Krista turn her head around the booth in the corner of the restaurant and flag me down. At that point I walked over and we began talking and eating chips and salsa, which I learned quickly was one of her favorite snacks. We struck up conversation talking about any and everything including; hunting, golf, guns, what we did for work, where we were from, etc.&nbsp;I could not tell you what I had to eat or how long we stayed at the restaurant after getting done eating. However, I do remember at the end of the date I don’t think either of us were ready to go home.&nbsp;I also discovered this day how competitive Krista was. Krista said we should go down the street towards town and play some “Pool”. Without questioning it I told her lets go.&nbsp;I did not know “let’s go” meant Krista telling me to ride with her that way we didn’t struggle to find parking. Cautiously, I proceeded to get into her car, due to the fact I do not ride with other people in their cars, especially someone I had just met… LOL&nbsp;Krista then proceeds to peel out of the parking lot, I believe in sport mode, as I am holding on to the Oh S*** handle. Nonetheless, we made it safely to the bar and started playing pool.&nbsp;We played a total of three games and if I recall correctly, Krista did not win a game…LOL. After playing the games and talking some more, I was returned safely back to my truck and concluded our first date.&nbsp;I remember leaving and thinking to myself, “I didn’t want that to end”. I’m not sure, but I don’t think either of us had made it home before we messaged each other again talking about what a good time we had.&nbsp;I knew after the first date I already had feelings for Krista and I could not wait to have another date again. Maybe 2 or 3 days later we had another date at a brick oven pizza place with a bar and we hit it off again and were inseparable.&nbsp;This is my version of how we met and is only a fraction of a percent of the stories I could tell about me and Krista and all of the fun we have had. This was the start to us falling in love and living our own little fairy tale.
