We met in the spring of 2012, on Krista's college visit to Oklahoma Wesleyan, where Shane was a freshman. After Krista also chose to attend school there, we shared many of the same friends and were involved in many similar groups. We traveled together on a ministry team for a summer, did a missions trip to Africa, and continued to build a very strong friendship.


In December of 2019, Shane asked Krista to go to a cookie decorating class at a local bakery in Bartlesville. We went to dinner that evening and enjoyed our time together. After coming back from Christmas break, we made it official on January 4, 2020. We enjoyed many fun date nights and hang outs together, even through the midst of a global pandemic.


On August 4, 2020, Shane proposed and asked to spend the rest of our lives together. It was an easy yes for us both! We are so thankful for the strong friendship we've shared for some many years prior to our dating relationship, and we are so grateful for the way God led us to one another at just the right time! We are so looking forward to pursuing Him and following His lead together as a couple.
