In 2007, Kristen and Nathan met while attending the same middle school. While they only had one class together and different friends, something magical would happen years later that neither of them predicted. Attending different high schools, Nathan and Kristen lost touch. However, Kristen had friends that attended the same school as Nathan and she would occasionally see him in passing at the baseball games. Both graduating from high school, they also attended different colleges too.

It wasn't until the Spring of 2016 when Kristen was leaving a restaurant with friends as Nathan was walking in and they happened to brush shoulders. Kristen looked up to Nathan and without realizing it was him she said, "I'm sorry, excuse me." She then proceeded to the parking lot with her friends expressing that she recognized who she had bumped into as Nathan, who she had not seen in years. The night went on and it wasn't until the following morning when Kristen woke up to a Facebook message from Nathan saying, "Hey, I think we bumped into each other today." Kristen responded with, "Oh my gosh that was you!"

From there they started talking and eventually went on a first date. Both of them quickly identified that they shared a passion for travel, video games, sports and good food. The rest is history and now here the two of them are getting married in April 2025!
