This Bride:Kristen Mary grew up in Rumford, a small mill-town tucked in the Western Maine Mountains. Her dad, Lee, has worked at the local paper as an electrical technician since 1981, while her mom, Jayne, is a trained beautician and current kindergarten teacher at a local elementary school. Kristen is the youngest of three girls. Always the tomboy of the family, she enjoyed playing sports and being outdoors. Kristen grew up with a basketball in her hand, and fell in love with the sport after watching her two older sisters, Jessica and Jennifer, play. Since basketball was an early passion of Kristen's, it occupied her and her family's weekends from fourth grade on. Kristen became a varsity athlete as a freshman in high school, playing soccer, basketball, and softball. Kristen committed to playing college basketball at the University of Southern Maine, but her career ended early after shin surgery. Kristen's fondest memories growing up include camping every summer at Cathedral Pines with her family, playing basketball at Penn State, canoeing the Allagash waterway with her dad, Marriott Hotel road trips with her sisters and Gram and Grampy Kelcourse, and having Sunday night dinners while playing school Nanny and Grampy Arsenault. Kristen still leads an active and outdoorsy lifestyle; hiking, hunting, and participating in running races any chance she gets. She loves spending her free time with her family in the mountains, and playing with her four nieces; Lilah, Lauren, Hallie and Kylie. Kristen is a National Sales Trainer employed by W.W. Grainger.The Groom:Robert John was born in Springfield, MA, and grew up in Suffield, CT until the age of six, when his family relocated to Franklin, MA, a town within the Greater Boston region. Known to his family and friends as Rob, he is the eldest of three children born to John and Sue-Ellen Richard. Rob has a younger sister named Olivia, and younger brother named William.His father, John, spent years in the U.S. Air Force before entering into the financial world where he worked for decades. Rob's mom, Sue-Ellen, worked for years in customer service at Clarks Shoes, and continues to be involved with customer service in Cape Cod, where she and John currently reside. Growing up, Rob's interests included soccer, art, skateboarding, and snowboarding. Still an avid snowboarder, Rob grew to become more involved with the snowboarding industry over the years, and today shares ownership of an apparel company with his friend Anthony. When choosing where to attend college, Rob committed to the University of Southern Maine because it was closer to the mountains in New England. Rob's fondest memories growing up include family summers spent in Cape Cod, where he worked his first summer jobs; and going to Mount Snow, VT, for family winter ski trips. Rob continues to spend his summers on the beach, and winters in the mountains. Rob is an Account Manager at Crystal Steel Processing, and small business owner of the aforementioned Oneoheight Apparel, Ltd.How they Met: Both business majors at the University of Southern Maine, they shared many mutual classes and friends. Their paths drew closer in the fall of 2007, when they became dorm neighbors. After some initial hesitation by Kristen (who credits Rob's persistence), they began dating, and by December of 2007, they were nothing less of inseparable. As they often say... the rest is history. Over nine years later, Rob and Kristen are so excited to continue building their relationship, and starting the next chapter of their lives together.

Growing Up....

In March of 2016, Rob and Kristen planned a winter weekend get-a-away in Kristen's favorite Maine town of Rangeley, where Kristen's family has a camp just outside of the town's limits. Kristen and her family have always spent a lot of their time hiking, hunting, and relaxing in the Western Maine Mountains, so a night away in Rangeley was not out of the ordinary for the couple, and Kristen thought nothing of it. Rob and Kristen took their time getting up to Rangeley, stopping a few times at their usually stops - the Height of the Land, Flagstaff Lake, and their favorite store, Pines Market. The couple rented a cabin in downtown Rangeley as Kristen's camp was usually only accessible via snowmobile in the winter months due to snow. However, the winter of 2016 proved to be a mild one, causing most of the trails and dirt roads to be extremely soft, and the couple decided to attempt the drive in to the family camp for a day drip of hiking and skeet shooting. Once they got to the driveway, they realized the dirt road was far too soft to drive on, almost like quick sand. Kristen said to Rob, "Let's just go to another spot, I don't want to walk over a mile just to get into camp with all of our gear." Rob argued that it would be fun since it was such it was a beautiful winter day. Kristen eventually agreed, and the two started the trek u the driveway, and up the East Kennebago Mountain. After hours of skeet shooting, they sat outside and enjoyed the fire Rob built, their sandwiches, and a few happy hour beverages. When it got colder, Rob told Kristen to get closer to the fire so she would be warmer. As Kristen was standing near the fire, warming her hands and enjoying the mountain top view, Rob said Kristen's name, causing her to turn around and look at him. Rob was down on one knee. Kristen was completely shocked and scooched down with him, hoping he wasn't injured. Kristen didn't even see the open ring box Rob was holding in his hand. Rob spoke then, sharing all of the reasons and things he loved about Kristen, and telling her he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. Kristen, with her hand over her mouth, could only respond, "Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God!" over and over again. She immediately hugged Rob, still shouting, "Oh my God!" Rob told Kristen he needed her to say yes or no. Of course, her answer was yes, and he placed the ring on her finger. The two stood on top of the mountain, in Kristen's favorite spot to enjoy the moment. Kristen recalls her legs feeling like jello the entire hike down. The two celebrated with dinner in Rangeley at Forks in the Air, followed by an evening bowling at Moose Alley. Rangeley was always a very special place to Kristen growing up. Now, it is a special place for both Kristen &amp;Rob as they start the next chapter of their life together.

William is Robert's youngest sibling and only brother. Known to his friends and family as Will, he is four years younger but you wouldn't know it. Rob and Will grew up doing everything together, from skateboarding in the driveway, to playing sports in the backyard, and snowboarding in the mountains. Rob considers Will one of his best friends. Will currently lives in Somerville, MA, and works in the financial industry in Boston.

William Richards

Chelsea and Kristen have been friends for two decades. Having grown up in the same mill town in Maine, they played sports together and were always friends, but became their closest toward the end of their high school careers. Their friendship only got stronger when they both moved to Portland, Maine for college. Chelsea and Kristen grew up being told they looked like sisters, and were often times mistaken for one another on the softball field by their own parents. Kristen can always count on Chelsea to be there for her, to go on spontaneous adventures together, and to give her honest, realistic feedback. Chelsea is actually one of both Kristen and Rob's best friends. She can certainly recall when Kristen met Rob, and all of Kristen's giddy feelings during their early relationship. Chels is known to Kristen as her Ride or Die, best friend, and Chelsarella. Chelsea's reaction to Kristen and Rob's engagement is one the couple will never forget. Kristen's family often times quotes Chelsea as saying, "How Rude!", as Chelsea and Kristen's father, Lee, often said this to each other when the girls were younger. Chelsea is an RN, and is currently working in Oregon until summertime, when she will finish her Masters of Science in Nursing. 

Chelsea Paterson

Jennifer is Kristen's oldest sister by two years, and although they fought like twins growing up, they grew to become best friends. Jennifer and Kristen speak on the phone daily, and tell each other nearly everything. Jennifer has given Rob the nickname, "Roberto," which has stuck well, as her two kids now refer to him this way. Jennifer resides in Poland, Maine with her husband Jarod. Jen is the mother of two girls, Hallie and Kylie, who also happen to be Kristen and Rob's youngest flower girls. Jen is an Occupactional Theriapist.

John Richards is Rob's father. Rob considers his and his dad's relationship more of a forever friendship. Rob truly looks up to his Dad as one of his heroes, and is so proud to call him Dad. John is currently semi-retired, living in Cape Cod with his wife, and Rob's mother, Sue-Ellen. John was in the Air Force for years prior to having a family. He then entered the financial world, working most of his years in Boston.

Anthony and Rob have been best friends since they met during their freshman year at Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood, MA. Although Rob and Anthony are from the same town, they attended different middle schools in Franklin, and did not meet until attending high school thirty minutes from their hometown. Rob and Anthony lived together for years after college in both Kittery and Eliot, ME. During these years Rob and Anthony started their snowboarding apparel company, 108 Limited. Today, they continue to run the company together, and snowboard as much as they can during the winter. Anthony works in the wholesale plumbing industry, and resides in Everett, MA.

Anthony Giampietro

Jessica is Kristen's oldest sister. Jessica was always someone Kristen looked up to for style, boy, and even dancing advice. Jess was always organized and well structured, and Kristen looked up to her for those qualities. Today, Jessica is the mother of Lilah and Lauren, two of Kristen and Rob's flower girls. Jessica resides in Manchester, Maine with her husband Nate. Jessica is a kindergarten teacher. 

Jessica Gurney

Katherine, known to Kristen as "Kitty Kat," is often referred to as Kristen's twin or younger sister. Although she is technically a first cousin of Kristen's, she has grown up as the "fourth Arsenault sister." Furthermore, Katherine has grown to become one of Kristen's closest friends. Katherine currently attends Philips Exter Academy, where she is finishing her high school career. 

Katherine Dumoulin

AJ and Rob met at a very young age in Franklin, MA. Rob had just moved with his family from Connecticut, and the two became friends while playing town soccer for a team which AJ's father coached. They ended up going to high school together at Xaverian Brother's High School in Westwood, MA. AJ, Anthony, and Rob all became very good friends during those years, and their friendship continues to this day. AJ, although living in downtown Chicago now for work, visits frequently to get together with all his friends.

AJ Papa

Dana and Kristen met in Portland through mutal friends, and immediately hit it off. Although Dana is someone who came in to Kristen's life just four years ago, Kristen has a hard time understanding how she ever lived without her. They enjoy working out and traveling together. Dana lives and works in Portland, Maine as a Doctor of Chiropractic Neurology. 

Dana Brindisi

Josh and Rob became friends later in life through mutual friends and groomsmen, AJ and Darren. After college, Josh started living with AJ and Darren in in Brighton, MA, in a house referred to as "Priscilla," after the street the house was on. Josh fit in perfectly in with the original crew, and immediately became one of the regulars with his love of golf, and interest in skiing. Josh joined the annual ski trips and has enjoyed the western powder in Washington with Rob and Anthony over the last few years. Josh now resides in Auburndale, MA, and works in the IT storage hardware solutions industry.

Josh Dion

Darren and Rob are both from Franklin, MA,  and started hanging out in the early years of high school. Although Darren attended a different high school than Rob, he would find himself  spending time with Rob, Anthony and AJ on the weekends, playing poker, snowboarding, and partying. Darren attended college in Florida, but moved back and lived in Boston with AJ and Josh. He now lives in South Boston and works in the paper clip industry.

Darren Grassey

Haley and Kristen met as memebers of the University of Southern Maine Women's Basketball team. Since day 1, Haley has been a true friend and confidant who Kristen could count on. Haley and Kristen have always remained close, and it is always a fun time when Haley is around. Haley lives in the Portland, Maine area and works as a kindergarten teacher.

Haley Johnson

Olivia is the groom's sister. Over Kristen and Rob's nine+ year relationship, Olivia and Kristen have grown close like real sisters, and they are excited to make it official in September. They share a mutual love for all animals, but especially puppies.  Olivia currently works in the Greater Boston area as a Civil Engineer.
