Kristen and Jackie grew up together and have remained friends for decades. They have traveled all over the world together to Vancouver, Spain, the Canary Islands, and Thailand. Kristen thinks of Jackie as a sister and even if they go a few weeks without talking due to busy schedules and living in different states, they are always able to pick up exactly where they left off.

Kristen and Amily met several years ago at Hotworx, a gym where HIIT-style workouts are conducted in an Infared sauna. Kristen and Amily began taking daily classes together, competing for the leaderboard and became close friends while sweating out all the stress of the day and talking and laughing about life. Amily and her husband Andrew are great friends and are always down for a game night, a last-minute NYE get-together or backyard tiki party!

Leslie and Kristen completed their Open Water SCUBA certification together in 2017 and have been diving into all types of adventures and additional certifications together ever since! They have travelled to Cape Town, South Africa together to dive with sharks and seals and the Limpopo Providence to complete several game drives to see 4 of The Big 5. Leslie is an amazing listener, knows just when to send you some random post on social media to make you smile or laugh and is truly a lifelong friend.

It is in walking distance of many restaurants, bars, galleries and boutiques nearby or just a quick 5 min Uber ride to some other great historic neighborhoods of Columbus. No Soliciting Bar, the venue we are holding our Welcome Party at on Saturday evening, is just under a 10-minute walk away (0.4 miles). There is a Valet parking garage on site or several other garages within the area (that may be slightly cheaper if you don't mind a short walk!). *For guests staying only Sunday night, check-in at The Hilton is at 3pm. We have asked, and they cannot guarantee that early check-in will be available but will accommodate as many people as they can if rooms are vacant the night before. If you arrive early and cannot check in until 3, the front desk is happy to hold your luggage and there is a restroom in the lobby if you need to change or freshen up* The Hilton is a 20 min drive from our venue. We'd love for our guests to experience all Columbus has to offer and show you our home, so we selected a hotel that reflects our life here and is close to all the places we love. There are many other wonderful hotels in the area, surrounding areas or closer to our venue. If you decide to book a different hotel, please book as early as possible! Saturday is the first OSU home football game and its Labor Day weekend; rooms will fill up fast The Hilton will honor our block rate 3 days prior, and 3 days after the wedding. Please feel free to stay in town longer to enjoy our beautiful city!

Just south of downtown Columbus lies German Village, one of the most idyllic neighborhoods in the country. Built by German settlers hundreds of years ago, the area is defined by its brick homes and shops, as well as brick-lined streets. Historic charm and modern tweaks exist side by side here. Peruse local businesses that include delicious pastry and coffee shops, the truly unique 32-room&nbsp;<a href="https://www.experiencecolumbus.com/neighborhoods/german-village-and-brewery-district/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Book Loft&nbsp;</a>. German Village is such a beautiful place to spend a day walking in the fall: -Have brunch on Lindey's beautiful outdoor patio-Grab a coffee at Stauf's then peruse the unique and vast selection of books at The Book Loft-Order a sandwich to-go for lunch from Brown Bag Deli or a gigantic cinnamon roll from Fox in The Snow Cafe to enjoy while you walk around Schiller Park-Have a traditional German-Style dinner at Schmidt's Sausage Haus (and OMG the cream puffs!)

The Columbus Park of Roses is an absolutely beautiful part of our city. In our home neighborhood of Clintonville, the Columbus Park of Roses is located inside Whetstone Park. With it being only about a mile walk from our house, we go walk there several times a week and picnic with our dog when the weather is pleasant. It will be towards the end of rose season early September, but there should still be blooms and there any many other trees and types of flowers that bloom into the fall.

Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens offers world-class horticulture, art and nature-based exhibitions, and educational programs for all ages. Situated on 40 acres on the eastern side of Franklin Park, the Conservatory features the historic 1895 John F. Wolfe Palm House; 83,000 square feet of glasshouses; botanical gardens including the Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation Children’s Garden; and meeting and event spaces. The Conservatory owns the largest collection of glass artwork by Dale Chihuly in a botanical garden and is home to internationally recognized light artist James Turrell’s Light Raiment II, which illuminates the John F. Wolfe Palm House every evening from dusk until dawn.
