Our Wedding

Well it all started with our walk out song, Bad and Boujee. For everyone that knows Kristen and I, they will tell you that there are always two VERY different versions of every story. Because of that we thought it would be fun to have two separate renditions of how we met and where we are now. :)&nbsp;

 







Eric's Story -&nbsp; It all started with Bad and Boujee. Way back when at the very beginning of it all Kristen found out that she was going to be walking down the aisle with me at our friend's wedding. She reached out with a very formal Facebook&nbsp;message asking me to help pick a song for us to walk out. I saw the message right away (because my phone is always in my hand) and instantly knew who she was. The reason being I had seen her a&nbsp;few weeks earlier on my friends Instagram&nbsp;and I had already done some digging and thought she was so cute.&nbsp;

Just my luck that she happens to reach out and strike up a conversation. Now at first glance, this conversation was very formal and not meant to be flirtatious, but I knew that was my window to get to know her better, so I jumped at the opportunity. We continued to talk for the next month everyday&nbsp;until the week of the wedding finally came.&nbsp;

We were finally going to get to meet in person and I was incredibly nervous and just hoped she would like me as much as I had begun to like her over the previous month. All the guys and I were meeting her and all the girls (in the wedding party) for lunch at this restaurant&nbsp;right off the beach. We arrived a little early and I remember watching her walk up the ramp into the building from the window and I instantly started sweating because she was so cute.&nbsp;

She sits down at the table, three seats away and doesn't&nbsp;say a word nor even look in my direction. I think to myself, great.....shes not interested at all. We continue to eat and I start trying to get her attention by making a few jokes and finding the opportune moment to talk to her and FINALLY after about 15 minutes she laughs at something I said, smiles and looks right at me with the cutest little smile I had ever seen.&nbsp;

At that moment was when I knew, I had a chance, and I was going to take it.

Later that week we had our first kiss under a pier in a terrible lightning storm and from that point on I was hooked.&nbsp;

Fast forward a year and a few months and there I was standing on the back of a snow-covered mountain in the freezing cold, more nervous (and tired) than I have ever been in my whole life, asking her to be my wife. We had been skiing the entire day and I could barely walk, let alone get down on one knee.&nbsp;

SHE SAID YES! Now here we are 4 months later planning our life together and I could not be happier!&nbsp;

As I finish this story I have one thing to say to all of you close friends and family to Kristen, thank you for everything you have done to help Kristen become the woman she is today. She is the most incredible human being on the planet&nbsp;and I feel so blessed to call her my partner in crime, love of my life and soul mate.&nbsp;



Kristen's Story -&nbsp;







He was a skater boy, I said see you later boy. Jk, but thank you to all the Avril fans who laughed. But &mdash; he was a groomsmen and I was a bridesmaid. Some could say its fate that we already walked down the aisle together, but in reality it had everything to do with height. He was tall, and I requested to walk with him specifically for that reason. I don’t think it will come as a shock to anyone that knows me well that I began this relationship. A single Facebook message&nbsp;&nbsp;and one look at my profile pic was all he needed. Messenger turned into Snapchat which turned into texting which eventually turned into face to face communication when we finally met each other at the beach a few days before the wedding. Turns out, he didn’t have a weird laugh or annoying features I couldn’t stand. During those days leading up to the wedding, our largest bonding time occurred while playing cards against humanity, can jam, corn hole, and heads up. Finally the day came, he walked me down the aisle, we danced to our first song at the reception and shared our first kiss under the pier during a thunderstorm. No Nicholas Sparks did not write that, and yes our love story should be featured in a movie. From there, I guess you could say the rest is history. We’ve been inseparable ever since, or at least as much as we could be despite the physical distances between us. Through it all he’s been my travel partner, supporter, comic relief, and best friend. Saying yes to him meant saying yes to a lifetime of adventures and it was by far the best decision I’ve ever made.

For anyone who has flown into DIA you are aware that the airport is about 30 minutes from the center of the city. There is a very convient train that will take you right into the city for a much more affordable option over Uber or Lyft if you are traveling alone. It costs around 8$ and runs every 15 minutes from the airpot to Denver.&nbsp;<a href="https://www.denver.org/about-denver/transportation/airport-rail/">Light Rail Times</a>

See the Mountains

An incredible city with great things to experience. Kristen and I&nbsp;have had the opportunity to explore this city quite frequently and we have a few suggestions.&nbsp;

Check out Larimer Square off of 16th street.&nbsp;







The 16th street mall is a great place to walk around and check out what the city has to offer.&nbsp;







Obviously Denver sports centers are a must see. The Pepsi Center,&nbsp;Mile High Stadium and Coors Field&nbsp;are with in 15 minutes walking distance of each other close to 16th street mall.&nbsp;







Additionally, there are various Museums and the Denver Zoo





If you are not renting a car, we highly suggest using&nbsp;lyft/uber.&nbsp;&nbsp;Or, for a cheaper and more adventurous option,&nbsp;renting the electronic scooters and&nbsp;bikes &nbsp;to travel around the city.&nbsp;

This is a really cute little town nestled right on the front range. A great place for hiking, or just&nbsp;to walk around, buy a few souvenirs and catch a great meal.&nbsp;

Boulder, CO, USA

Kristen is currently living and teaching here in this incredible town. It has all the elements of a small town with endless things to do. We will be moving here after our wedding and spending the next year or so in this town. It is about an hour north of Denver but worth the drive if you have a few spare hours in the day.&nbsp; This is also on the way to Estes Park if you choose to go hiking there!
