It was July 10 at 5am that I met Jameson. I am not a morning person AT ALL so meeting new people at 5am was NOT in the cards for me. Not only was it super early in the morning but then I was paired on a bus to be a captian with this guy who I had never met, worked at the church, and seemed to be in charge, so I was immediately intimidated by him. So much so that I had to work up the courage for a good 5-10 minutes to ask him if it would be okay if I went to sleep for some of the drive. The bus ride to camp we had little conversations here and there but nothing crazy. Everyday at camp I got to see Jameson and hang out with him more and more and quickly realized I had a HUGE crush. The last night of camp is always the one where everyone stays up way to late and gets minimal sleep, so I decided that night that I was going to sit up on the floor next to Jameson as he drove this bus back 8+ hours to Athens. I swear we talked the whole entire drive back. As soon as I got back into my car from camp, I think I called all of my close people and freaked out over how amazing this guy I had met was and how I really liked him, and I mean really!! While I was on the phone with my mom telling her, Jameson texted me separately and I think I screamed so loud that my mom thought something was wrong. Fast forward a couple of weeks and we had our first date and I came home to my roommates and told them I loved this man and that I thought he was the one!!! The rest is history! After many date nights, game nights, car rides, gym dates, UGA games, and new movies (at least for me) WE ARE GETTING MARRIED!! I cannot wait to marry this man who truly loves the Lord first and me second and cannot wait to celebrate with all of you!!!

It's the classic story. Boy and girl go to a summer camp as leaders. Boy meets girl. Boy likes girl. Boy marries girl. You've heard it a million times but here is my version: It's 5am...we show up to Athens Church to load a bus to drive to Daytona Beach for Passion Camp. My job is to make sure everyone shows up and gets on the right bus. I am driving a large bus with lots of high school students so I ask my bus captain if she can help me keep an eye on everything happening on the bus. That's the moment I met Kristen. I spent the week of Passion Camp hanging out with my small group...and Kristen. I think the craziest thing is that we had to have met before, we both led small groups at Athens Church in student ministry, we lived 4 doors apart, and we had some of the same friends. But it wasn't until that trip that I was drawn to Kristen. After camp, we kept talking and since Kristen was not living in Athens at the time, we planned a time for a date together and we went to Maepole after church. The rest is history. In the following months, we played more Nertz than is probably healthy, we tried new restaurants in Athens, and had a few VERY fun dates at home making dinner. I knew that I was going to marry her from that first lunch so here we are and I cannot wait to celebrate with everyone!
