Our Wedding

Our story starts like most - making friends at a pool in the summer of 2020. Joe moved to Nashville shortly before the pandemic lockdowns of 2020, and primarily spent that time in isolation (outside of zoom calls, FaceTime, etc.). When the pool at his condo complex opened that summer, he saw it as a way to finally meet some people in Nashville. One fateful Friday afternoon while Joe was at the pool, three guys entered with a case of beer and a speaker. Joe walked up, introduced himself, mentioned he was new to Nashville, and asked if he could join them. The tall one replied with a hearty “Yes”, introduced himself as Kevin, and welcomed Joe to join. This seemingly small interaction became the foundation to not only Joe’s Nashville social circle, but his relationship with Kristen as well. After a few weeks of knowing this group, Joe learned that none of these guys actually lived at his complex; they had a friend named Kristen who lived there and would lend them the pool key in exchange for&nbsp;&nbsp;rides to the airport. It was a while before Kristen and Joe would meet. Kristen would hear about Joe - the new guy in the group, and Joe would hear about Kristen - the key lending girl who lived at his complex. After some time, neither Kristen nor Joe were convinced the other actually existed. Fast forward a few months to late September, Joe’s new group of friends hosted a Tennessee football watch party at the “Treehouse”, their house in downtown Nashville. After some conversation with friends there, Kristen noticed someone she didn’t recognize and introduced herself; it was Joe. They spent the rest of the afternoon talking and getting to know one another and although it took Joe a few hours to realize this was THE Kristen who lived at his complex; Kristen knew immediately. After hours of conversation, the Tennessee game ended and they went their separate ways. The next morning Kristen recounted the night and couldn’t believe that Joe didn’t ask for her number. So, she decided to reach out to a mutual friend to get it. Kristen had recently accepted a new job and planned a Sunday Funday to celebrate with friends, and thought this would be the perfect opportunity to get to know Joe better. Luckily he decided to join. The celebration started with some patio drinks around Nashville and ended with board games at Kristen’s. Their friends still look back at this day and laugh at how Joe was the only person in the group that didn’t get the hint that Kristen was interested. Over the next few weeks, they continued to get to know each other. Texting and group-setting interactions soon turned into afternoon walks together and their first date, and the rest is history ♡

DEADWOOD

Known for its gold rush history, the entire town is a National Historic Landmark. JEWEL CAVE NATIONAL MONUMENT

A natural wonderland with some of the most awe-inspiring cave formations in the world. BADLANDS NATIONAL PARK
