Our Wedding

Kristen and Adam met exactly 10 years and 1 week before their wedding date this year.&nbsp; A week before officially meeting, Kristen saw Adam at a party and was eager to be introduced by a mutual friend. Unfortunately, that didn’t end up happening that night. 1 week later, Adam was walking in Muskoka and spotted a beautiful girl outside of an ice cream shop (Kristen). He mentioned it to his friend, pointing her out before she went back in to the ice cream shop.&nbsp; Adam and his friends then ran in to some other friends from their high school and invited them over that night to Adams family cottage. It turns out, those same people they invited over were mutual friends with Kristen - and so that night Adam and Kristen officially met for the first time. Adam and Kristen fell for each other fast. Right from the night they met, there was an undeniable spark.&nbsp;Adam was adamant about not being in a place where he could be in a relationship, yet a few months later he couldn’t resist and asked her to officially be his girlfriend on her birthday, December 22nd, 2014.&nbsp; The next 2 years tested everything. They were going through huge life changes - going to university, moving out, Adams parents splitting, and more - all which challenged them individually and as a couple.&nbsp; In 2017, Adam and Kristen moved in to their first apartment together downtown Toronto, officially taking the biggest step in their relationship to date. After moving in, their relationship thrived and almost 1 year later, they got their dog Maya. Adding Maya to the equation only strengthened their bond and love for each other even more. Throughout their almost 3 years in that first apartment they grew so much - taking on life together as a team while training and raising Maya. They grew professionally, pushing and supporting each other to create an amazing life for themself. On March 1st, 2020 - they moved out of that apartment and in to the top of a house on The Danforth. Unknowingly at the time, an incredible move to a much bigger space surrounded by parks - just in time to settle in for the Pandemic. On October 16th, 2020 - Adam and Kristen were at the family cottage in Muskoka, just the two of them, dancing on the deck together with the sun setting in the back.&nbsp; A slow song came on and they started to slow dance. Both of them started to cry without realizing the other was as well. They had a powerful moment that they could both feel. There they were, 6 years in to being in love with each other and yet still the connection was so powerful that it moved them both to tears. The song finished and they realized they’d both been crying. They both felt that overwhelmingly beautiful feeling.&nbsp; It was at this moment that Adam knew he as going to ask Kristen to be his wife, to spend the rest of their life together. On January 18th, 2021, Adam and Kristen bought their first property, a condo on the East end of Downtown Toronto and moved in. 7 Months later, on August 4th, 2021, Kristen and Adam were celebrating their 7 year anniversary in The Beaches of Toronto. They were walking the beach before going to dinner and their song came on. The same song they both cried to while dancing in Muskoka. They started to slow dance for a bit before Adam started confessing his appreciation and love for Kristen, followed by getting on a knee and pulling out a ring.The song was planned, there were photographers hiding to capture the moment, Kristen and Adam officially committed to spending the rest of their lives together. They were engaged! On March 22nd, 2023, Kristen and Adam had officially followed through with their desire to leave the city by purchasing a home in Collingwood, and shortly after moved up there to start a different pace of life. They quickly fell in love with the more active lifestyle outdoors that living in a small town brought. They were going on hikes all over the area when they found the one that ended up becoming their favourite, Cascade, a trail up one side of Blue Mountain at which they found a beautiful venue on the top of the mountain called Off-Piste.&nbsp; This is where Kristen and Adam have decided to get married, 10 years and 1 week from that first night that they met. There is so much more beauty to be written in this story of these two lovers. Now, it is time to join them in this story by celebrating their love with them on another day they’ll remember for the rest of their lives.&nbsp;
