When Krissy graduated from Eureka College in the spring of 2016, she only had about two weeks before she planned to move to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to start her new job. Nick was feeling the pressure to begin with, but she kept casually dropping small hints..."I'm moving pretty soon...""If it were going to happen, it'd probably need to be soon..."You get the picture and so did Nick.He accidentally let on to her that he planned to propose on her class' farewell cruise on the Spirit of Peoria. It would have been grand--or so they thought.Krissy spent an hour waiting in line to buy drinks and Nick waited patiently with MacKenzie, Will, and Krissy's Delta Zeta sisters quietly pondering about whether or not this was really the right time. Well, it wasn't.After Krissy stopped being mildly salty about the lack of proposal, Nick helped her regroup and pack for her next big adventure. The two loaded up Krissy's Taurus and set off across the country for their first ever road trip together.Krissy found it odd that Nick kept asking about the beach. The entire drive he would ask "are you sure we're going to the beach? I can't wait to go to the beach!"After the two arrived at Krissy's apartment, they decided to go to the beach. It was incredibly windy and choppy, and the current was pretty strong. They had barely gotten into the ocean before Krissy declared she was going to sunbathe instead of swim. Nick, ever the problem-solver, suggested they go on a walk on the beach. They only walked a short distance before Nick's attention focused on the ocean. Krissy asked what he was doing, and he informed her that he was "looking for a very special shell.""Oh, I'll help!"Midway through Krissy's assistance looking for a fictitious, distraction-shell, Nick kneeled in the ocean (in front of a group of excited sunbathers) and asked her to marry him.She smiled a lot

The Proposal

The short version of this story is that Nick and Krissy met partway through Krissy's 7th grade year/Nick's 8th grade year. Krissy had an acquaintance who was very eager for everyone to meet her brand new boyfriend. The boyfriend was Nick.Krissy thought he was weird.Nick forgot they met.

Ryan and Nick have been friends since they were on the marching band bass line together in high school. They still frequently meet up for pool, beer, and Grand Theft Auto 5 marathons.

Adair and Nick met in high school and have stayed friends ever since. Adair is very good at Karate and speaking Spanish. Also, he and Nick have the same birthday. It's a bro thing. You wouldn't understand.

Adair Rodriguez

Will is Krissy's little brother, but, because they're only sixteen months apart, they're more like twins. Krissy can't remember a time without Will and vice-versa. Krissy used to write Will's name on furniture and walls to get him in trouble and one time she tripped him so he put his head through a wall. It's okay, though, because she painted him a picture of Deadpool for Christmas too. Originally, Krissy wanted Will to be in the groom's party, but she liked him too much to share with her fiancé. To clarify, Will is the person, not the tiger.

Will Franz

Ryan and Nick met in high school through marching band. There are many other shenanigans that have solidified their "bro" status, but none that Krissy cares to expose on the internet.

Susan is Krissy's younger sister. They butt heads the most frequently of the Franz kids, but they love each other dearly. One time Krissy called Susan an ass, so Susan threw water on her. Good times, good times.

Meghan is Krissy's youngest sister. She enjoys long walks on the beach and also Netflix binging anime. Krissy made her wear a dress for this special occasion, but has repaid her by helping her make cosplay.

Brooke and Krissy have been besties since they were in 7th grade. Brooke showed Krissy her first scary movie, was her marching band camp roomie, and created many a strange inside joke (#gooning #TEEhee) at odd hours of the evening.

Elizabeth and Krissy met when Krissy joined Delta Zeta. She has been a wonderful big sister and has provided Krissy with a large, albeit comforting amount of snacks (especially sour cream and onion Pringles). She is one of the sweetest, most supportive people ever, and has dropped what she was doing multiple times to show up to the be in a last-minute theatre production. Also, she's pretty boss at Shakespeare. You should ask her about Prospero's monologue.

Nick's nephew and literally the cutest child. If you disagree about being the cutest, please inform Nick so you can be shown pictorial evidence of why you're wrong.

Bre and Krissy met when Krissy was four years old. Yeah, it has been that long. For the record, they have the same middle name. They are just about equally matched when it comes to dramatic personalities, capacity for spontaneous squealing, and starting unending writing projects. While Krissy got her dream role sword fighting as Mercutio, Bre got hers with firearms as Bonnie of Bonnie &amp; Clyde. So yeah, she's pretty boss.

Belle is Bre's daughter and is slowly learning to be just as dramatic as her (if she isn't already). Krissy and Belle have had several fun babysitting experiences and Krissy has given her much My Little Pony paraphernalia.

Grandview Drive is a two and a half mile scenic road with adjacent park areas through Peoria and Peoria Heights, Illinois.
