Not long after Taylor started working at New Bern High, she came across the stunning Associate Band Director. In February of 2021, the adventures of Kristen and Taylor began. They traveled near and far discovering each others quirky tendencies, distinct mannerisms, favorite dishes and adventurous activities outside of their everyday lives. In April 2023, Kristen and Taylor packed up their apartment in New Bern and moved to Swansboro. Kristen is currently the Director of Bands at Swansboro High School, while Taylor is teaching Sports Medicine and Physical Education and Head Softball Coach. After acquiring their positions at the high school, they began to familiarize themselves with the Swansboro community. The two have developed strong bonds with their Swansboro family and they are happy to call this their home. Together, Kristen and Taylor have created fond memories of kayaking in Lake Tahoe, touring the strip in Las Vegas, ziplining through the Zoo in Florida, jet-skiing in Myrtle Beach, and hiking to Laurel Falls in Gatlinburg. While these adventures are wonderful experiences, there was nothing quite like the morning of their engagement. Taylor can tell you that Kristen did not want to get up that early for a "sunrise photo session." After the question was popped the two have been celebratory ever since. Here's to many more memories and adventures as a married couple!
