I first saw Chris at church. He was ushering inside the church and I thought he was a new usher because I never saw him before. He came over and shook everyone's hand on the row I was sitting on. I saw him another time at church and then I saw him at a POP (Passion on Purpose) event which is a small group for adults ages 19 to 35 at our church. In November 2022, POP did an event which we both attended. During the POP event at Chick-fl-a ,we sat together and that was our first official conversation alone. We found out our birthdays were both in June. At the end of the event, he asked for my number. We texted each other for 3 months and went on several dates. I sought God if I should pursue this relationship and He confirmed in December 2022. Then in February 2023 we made it official as a couple. Some of our favorite dates were hiking, going to the apple farm and the zoo. We also like going to church together and spending time with our families. January 2024, Chris proposed and I accepted.

I had been praying and believing in God to lead me to a good woman and this is how He did it. I first saw Kristen at Victory Christian Center on a Sunday afternoon. She was walking down the aisle to take a seat. One of the senior ushers mentioned to me that she was a good woman and that I should pursue her. So I did. I was already a member of our young adult group at church called POP and when I attended a few of their outings I saw her there. At one event in particular the opportunity to ask for her phone number presented itself, so I took it. She blessed me with her number. A few days later we talked on the phone and texted for three months. At that point I felt like I knew enough about Kristen to ask her to be my girlfriend. Kristen agreed, thank God, and we began dating and truly getting to know each other. Within time our emotions grew for one another and the Lord told me it was time to propose. When she accepted my proposal, I couldn’t have been happier. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with Kristen!
